I might not have understood the situation as explained, but they wouldn't need to be competitive with the 5 top clubs initially as it would start with the bottom team from RMFL relegated to Div 2 ie Mallee. Also I think you may find that BDT haven't gone backwards this year but the rest of the league excl.Pinnaroo has improved.

I wasn't thinking that BDT or anyone had gone backwards, but rather that the bottom 4 in the RMFL had become A LOT stronger this year compared to previous years. I was simply pointing out that it nearly seems pointless to have 2 Divisions if the are basically the same as the leagues currently stand.

I will cop some over this next comment I'm sure, but what about 2 combined Mallee sides to join the RMFL. As without pooling resources I'm not sure they could field U10's 12's 15's & 17's, infact they may even struggle to do it as combined clubs? There is no point having 2 divisions under 1 Association, but have 2 different age groups for the Colts. If they merge the leagues, a compromise would need to be reached, & I'm not sure the RMFL would wont to reduce Colts teams.

I guess what I'm saying, is for A's & B's it would work, but Aged footy & lets not forget Netball, I think it would be a massive failure, if the Mallee clubs were forced to find teams they simply dont have the resources to supply

yep they are in Bali, but expect Karoonda to give Murrayville a real crack coz we play better when there's "top" players missing

Can the Lions sneak in!!!!!! If they can get over BDT they may cause a bit of damage in finals all played on the bigger grounds. GWW a merge with Karoonda and Peake would never work. Combined teams going into RMFL will never work- can you imagine the organisation, training, dividing income just for starters. Unfortunately teams need to plug away and keep holding onto their teams as long as possible

obviously if peake beat bdt which is a massive chance they stay 4th but ive heard couple injuries to casey and freak will keep them out of this weeks game and also maybe a broken leg to binns from last weekend???

how much do karoonda need to beat pinaroo by if peake lose? how many goals is 1.5 %?

Karoonda by 140 and 3 votes to C.Knight to seal the mail medal
M/ville by 22pts
And as much as I don't want to say it, Peake by 10pts, big occasions lift teams and I think Peake will rise to the occasion
