Cheers for the draws lads.
Bernie, re Mt Ronnie's demise...I think they forfeited their A grade cricket team this season as well. Perhaps, even with the large population, it's smaller families and not so much the single blokes or those that are still able to commit to footy.
Or maybe it's just a rank club?

I couldnt agree with the wonder elephant anymore with his call on monty, its all well and good to get 40 touches but if your turning the ball over every time theres no point in getting it, it would be better if he got 10 touches and kicked them out of bounds so it be thrown in to a 50 50 contest rather then kicking the ball to the opposition for a turn over and possible goal.

Rooster, I wouldn't be surprised if you give them a run at the 'velodrome'. Especially if you stock up on the cheerleaders for that game!!!

Given the number of players they've lost and apparent lack of replacements they could really struggle this year.

I don't see much of The Courier anymore, so I can't comment much on Barkers recruits. But judging from this site, it ain't many!
Rooster, with your cards fairly close to your feathered chest, it's hard for us to say if you'll have a challenger for the wooden spoon.
And hey, if Barker can't form a team, use their guernseys at Devil Park for the red and white clash!

Tai Chi is good for the soul.....and putting you in Mt Lofty premiership celebration folklore!

And that old fat bloke was a W@NKER like everyone else from Blackwood!!! (sorry Wolverine but I reckon you think it's true too - yourself excluded!) It was actually 3 weeks after shoulder surgery. Somebody had to show that ballsack (cheers JQ - love that word!!) who owns the balcony!!!

The balcony is now heritage listed I do believe.

Roos vs. Roosters for wooden spoon then? Who of the guns is left at the Sandpit for the blue and whites?

Just thinking, maybe the Roosters new strategy is to play on bikes at the Velodrome. New recruit, Gary Neiwand and Stuart O'Grady! Would be a ripper to see a coat hanger..... A bit hard to get boot to ball on a bike but.

BTW Have Uri's picked up any new fellas for this coming season?

monty gets alot of the ball, he did also kick 30 odd goals last year, not bad for a midfielder in a struggling team. he did everything last year and at times did burn the ball but only because he didn't have much help around him or a quality forward leading at him. wll kick 3 or 4 goals every game. wouldn't be suprised if he plays stints in the middle and spends majority of time in the forward line. huge pick up for medows and big loss for shanty if gets cleared.

How many did he kick last year in round 13 against the Dev's?

Loby are dodge!

DK is like that episode of the simpsons when Marge gets breast implants and she cant open the cupboard cos her norks keep getting in the way. His chest is so massive, he wouldn't be able to get me in a headlock!

I wouldn;t want to line up on him that's for sure. He's looking massive.....

Ditto "ORDoubleBlues"!!!! Every time I visit this part of the site I keep hoping for uninterupted footy stuff. S'pose I will be called names for not understanding why non-footy contributors can't just ring each other, or email with personal stuff which doesn't interest the rest of us. And hell, I've been around footy clubs long enough to tolerate the worst, but can we keep it clean here at least? Otherwise, we will all lose our credibility, starting with the recognizable contributors.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.
