Incredible result Bluds seem to have really fallen from grace. The great man Rigney seems to be down on form but it seems he has plenty of friends!

Yeah, they certainly seem to struggle up forward. What I don't get is they picked up a genuine full forward in Rankine, who is an old fashioned full forward, who is a proven goal kicker in this league, and they play him as a flanker, and put a bloke who spent his whole carrer rucking, who can't mark or run, as a fullforward... there seems to be no sense in this.

Seems a really strange decision to play Comer at full forward he has always rucked and is quite dominant in that position. Even as a ruckman rarely went forward but would take many marks drifting back into opposition forward lines. Rumour has it he has been linked back with his former club Noarlunga and a return could be imminent!

Yeah, struggling just at the minute the Eagles.

I copped a fair bit in this forum for saying that some of the paid recruits don't seem up to it right now, but I must say, they really don't.

The Eagles have yet to play their best footy though, and have a few to return. Michael Sumner isn't far off, Andrew Coombe should be returning soon, as well as Michael Kropinyeri. Then Muffy Kartinyeri will be back for the business end of the season.

And a mate of mine has informed me that Tailem have picked up Jai Shires, who is returning to SA, and will play next week. I remember he made the team of the year when he was playing for the Eagles a few years ago and was really a standout player in a side that struggled. So good news if true.

Well all the fuss on Taliem in the of season was a total waste of time. To think they are as good as they think they are you would expect them to kick more than 5 goals in a game of footy. Especially on the toy ground. How much money is the club wasting on players that can't play.

Thats a little unfair, especially when you consider Ramblers only kicked 5 goals against Imps (who will more than likely go through undefeated) a few weeks ago. Tailem did try to recruit some known key forwards in the off season but were unsuccessful. All clubs recruit players with mixed success, and whilst TB's forwards haven't set the world on fire so far (and it is still early days), the club appears to be progressing well with all grades now more than competitive which wasn't the case 2 years ago.

He was TB's ruckman a couple of years ago before moving to WA. He's also capable of playing up forward.

Word out of Noarlunga is that Comer will be back within a couple of weeks. I wonder how Tailem feel about this and if they will give him a clearance?

Fair point GWW. But Taliem would be better of to play a couple of there kids rather than pay the big money that some of these guys are on. The club has certainly improved from last year but you could not possibly say there A Grade side has improved.

If he wants to go back to Noarlunga then Taliem should let him go ASAP.

Thanks GWW. Unfortunately like most clubs Tailem need to rely on recruits to keep sides on the park each week. With the number of players that are from Adelaide i doubt if they're on a huge amount of coin each week except maybe one or two..however I could be wrong. I believe club needs to take responsibility for who they recruit and should have done there homework.
