Marble Park correct me if I am wrong but didn't Louie Hughes get hit when umpiring an under 12's match?

A few years ago, yeah... And you guessed it, the culprit was playing for Mallee Park, and they got off.

They did, however, get reported twice last year (now under 15's)

I would not like to comment on my opinion about the incident as it is not necessary and will do no justice. I'd just like to say that no serious physical injuries have come out of the altercation and I’ll be back in the yellow and black hopefully first game after mortlock.
It was a dark day not only for MPFC and BFC but PLFL in general. There needs to be some looking into the emergency services for injured players as it took 20+ minutes for any medical assistance to arrive. I was fortunate that out trainer is an experienced nurse and handled the situation with great calmness. The brawl that occurred following the punch shouldn't have escalated to the degree that it did and I hope all clubs and officials can learn from what happened and have a more efficient procedure for further outburst. I’ll be interested to what the write up has to say!

Just happened to be doing the rounds of the games (in my car) and arrived at Pecker Park just as the ambulance was driving onto the oval.
There I saw a chap on the boundary line in his blue and white PLFL jacket.

If Sam Reid got 8 weeks for his elbow that was at least during play, Harry should get similar or worse. We will however see a 2-3 game penalty handed down proabably delivered with an apology.....

I have attended my last ever game at Mallee Park and am considering boycotting any match they are involved in even if at Poole. Will make no difference to anyone else but I'm just making this decision as a principal of my own. Will go to GF for all their games from now on, just need a DD

good luck guys in kicking them out, but you must be carefull as they will cry foul to the powers that be. the riverland had a similar problem with a club and it wasn't until the constitution was changed to enable it to remove clubs that don't adhere to a strict code of conduct that they were able to remove the club.

i am aware what happened that’s why i said that it shouldn't have escalated to the degree that it did, and if future outbursts occur i hope that we (BFC) and other clubs can better managed the situation.

Past experiences against Mallees, someone asked? I remember playing the 2005 GF and they tried to soften up one of the Whittakers. In the blink of an eye, the biggest Whittaker was sorting stuff out and we stood up to the cowards and walked away with silverware. Sounds like not much has changed with that lot and are a blight on a great league that I really enjoyed playing in.
Problem with people jumping the fence is - they've done it before you realise and what's a club to do about it there and then? It's what you do afterwards that shows your club's stance on such matters. But by no means should a visiting club and their supporters feel threatened. if that is a common feel in a league then that rotten apple shouldn't spoil it for the rest.
I fail to comprehend how every game, no matter what league, wouldn't have one league official, not including umpires.

When a 16 year old has been knocked unconscious and a second player starts sinking the boots in while he's out cold then I feel someone has the right to get out there and try to protect the player on the ground.

The alleged issues that occured on Saturday will have far reaching effects over the rest of the season.Many young
footballers who know the alleged victim will now be waiting for" perceived " acts of aggression when coming up against
MPFC. Whilst not being intentional this will now become a distinct advantage for the perpetrators.
I wish Kaden all the best in his recovery.
On another note I wonder whether it would be prudent for the PLFL to appoint umpires to games
where they dont have alligiance I think it puts pressure on the individual.

Could fill up two pages here with issues that I have encountered with MP over the years.
The PLFL would be in a quandry with MPFC, and probably don't know which way to turn. The perception of the MPFC outside of PL is that they are a model indigenous club which continues to produce quality AFL and SANFL players. The truth is obviously far from this.
The SANFL and AFL for that matter would be loathe to allow the MPFC to disappear given the positive press that it receives elsewhere and what it ultimately represents to them.
Maybe need to look at the Ceduna model that seems to have overcome the far more volatile Koonibba issue.
If what you say MP that no official was present at what should have been seen as a 'match of interest' then that is truly regrettable.
