Cheers.

Dogwatcher sounds like a bit of junior scouting going on there??
Is this the real crowmuncher or are we reading another collegues work. If it is the real CM- i have heard a few old stagers at BDT sat night pretty ordinary (dare I say arrogant) not only about their team but also about the value of Peake in the comp- Would want to very careful what they say- Maybe this is what River Murray teams said about BDT 4-5 years ago?? Heard a few Peake boys who stayed after got jack of it and decided to go else where- any truth??

FFS what a load of crap. What were these wankers saying at quater and half time? Shit we had a bad last quater but it isnt something we cant fix with a couple of ins and a bit more confidence in each other. Look forward to our next game

No scouting D&O. They were in the best players - and couldn't find their names in the budget I have from last year.

And just commenting on what you said about the 'arrogance' of BDT players, if there's one thing I've learnt in country footy, it's that you should never question the value of other clubs in a competition.

Losing a club is never a good thing, especially in the country.

If nothing else, opposition clubs should show more respect to strugglers, as its pretty courageous to keep facing up week in and week out when you're getting a flogging.

This really would not surprise me at all, and I certainly don't agree with anything regarding their Value in the league etc., as has been said it was only the Last quarter things turned ugly, and with Peake doing some handy recruiting it will take a few games to gel and get used to their styles also with Fermy's wedding dragging a few players away .. Just interested to know what the new blokes thought about the pace of the Mallee League ??? No Div 7 joke included there ive learnt my lesson....

I dont think the pace was any differnt than the top teams in 7. fitness was a plus on there side but no problems with the pace. I was in the back lines so i saw a bit of it two! lol. Like you said it will take a few games for us to gel. We just have to stay conifdent in the short term.

crowmuncher i thought the pace was ok to be honest i also thought for 3 1/4's we handled the pace well our 1st 1/4 was a hell of alot better than there's with out doubt and as i said earlyer i think our boys maybe just thought that sweet this is just going happen but the fact of the matter is they did'nt win last years flag for nothing one 1/4 of footy aint guna beat a side like BDT as many of you know out there the good sides keep coming and coming right till the end i just really hope our young guys put that last 1/4 out of there heads look at the first 3 1/4's and say to themselfs shit we just matched it with the raining premiers for most of the game and take that in to murrayville .

down&out let me tell you mate the van ( betty ) is a beast mate i done some work on her yesterday weve got a fold down double bed in the back and your right it aint worth $300 i'd say at least $800 to $1000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

and you's are right i should never ruck ever again and there waxed not shaven if ya guna rip in to me get it right

Interesting there was a perception that the BDT players were questioning Peake's involvement in the competition, considering some of the thiongs BDT coach Greg Kennett said in last week's Pinnaroo and Border Times:

"It would be a damn shame to see any team drop off."

"We only have six teams as it is, that's the minimum amount, and if anyone pulls out, then that's the end of the Mallee Football League."

"I give credit to a team like Peake as well. All they have is a hall, a hotel and the oval, but yet the oval is in great condition and they still manage to maintain three teams. That is what's respectable, not the score on the board. We always go out to beat them, but the respect we have for them in return is what we focus on."

yeah thats the best thing about footy you can get done by 100 points and you can turn it all around the next week ( well hopefully anyway ) win lose or draw i just hope we really put up a good show i think we really need to after that last 1/4 on sat. i'm not sure how much you know about our team mate but i really dont think were that far off the mark we just need a few things to go our way and we'll be ok i really dont know anything about murrayville at all do you ? and your thoughts on the game ? i hear they fly a $ 600 a game player down from qld. each week .
