Gees Vick would be handy in the RMFL, but yeah makes you wonder how they could fit him under the points scheme unless they lost a few players.

Whats the background on Sweeney? Presumably a handy player in the Southern League, played SANFL at all?

Could be on the money there Lionheart, i did see The Sween machine at the RMFL grand final. They would have to open up the chequebook to get him there.

But, as the nice bloke that I am I can tell you Daniel Hargraves from the Port Magpies is looking for a new home outside of the SANFL along with Vinnie Rugalo from the Eagles, although he is going OS from Jan 08 till ?? but will surely need a home when he returns.
Someone from townies will be able to confirm or deny this but apparently they will lose a few players including a large forward who is apparently going to the SFL club that finished 7th or 8th this year.
Mark Demasi from goodies may be also on the move and Ivan Silvy from Torrens Valley also headed to either Willaston or PtDistrict.

Who is the big forward leaving Towns? Not Golding to a Cove or a Marion?? Zero chance!!

Hargy would command what size pay packet on the YP??

Apparantly Tailem Bend are going to make a big play for Demasi, expect them to be scouting this week Vs S/Nth...

hmm i dont know much about tailem bend (standard wise etc) but i would be surprised to see demasi go there considering he was at south adelaide and now hes playing pretty well with one of the best ameture sides in div 1.

Rumours are Demasi (dependant on new coach) is heading back to South Adelaide.
Not Golding, apparently this particular player is a key forward and kicked around 50-60 goals this year for the towns.
Hargraves rumoured packet was 5-600 a game with a hefty sign on.

There was a full forward that came up from mt gambier, did kick goals and pretty sure he is playing OSB/Lonsdale next year

this may sound like a silly question, but how do country clubs find their inports? or is there somewhere they advertise?

Any truth to the rumours that Matt Kluzek has told Bridgewater that he will not play for them next year. Heard he may retire or play 1 more year in the saafl for a side close to his family.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

I've certainly heard this one as well and he may head back to one of his former clubs SMOSH/West Lakes, who will be promoted to A2 next year.

Check your facts, no player for Edwardstown kicked 50-60 goals this year. Golding won there goalkicking with 20

You are a bad boy aren't you, did you not read the part that said 'apparently'? The fact is this forward is going to play for OsB/Lonsdale in the SFL, his name is not Golding as I said. Sheesh!

Really? how does it work and how was it received?

Do players who played juniors with a club get points discount or anything like that?

Not gona happen!
Gwoans to stay at Centrals before heading back to Vic in 09, Che retired, Gav living in Melb, Byron currently chosing to live in either WA or Port Lincoln due to family in one spot and kids in the other, needless to say if Byron plays next year in SA it will be with Port Adelaide who are looking at supplying him with return flights to and from Port Lincoln as requried.

Thank God for that FM. That's the last thing we would want over here assuming Pickett plays for Mallee Park. Then again he would probably fit back in straight away. Press the self destruct button just like a few of their players did in the grandy this year.

To be honest I know Mallee Park is an option but its fair to say while he can still play money is a consideration and the Magpies need him!
