Tips for this week
Strath 60 -70
Creeks 20 - 30
Bays 20 -30
Willunga 50 -60
Saints 0 - 10
after 4 weeks of 5 from 5
only got three right last week - couple of 50/50 games this week also -
with Burdett & Cheetham Compasss might push Creeks
and backs to the wall for Saints & Muddies - season over for loser.
Suprised that Saunders or Samuels isnt assistant for Simmons for Assoc. side - but then Teffy does have Bays punching above their weight, must be Modra's influence at training or has the President pulled off the move of the year by banning Bass from playing A's.

What is the deal with McLaren's new jumpers??? They are without doubt the worst looking football jumpers I've ever seen... and why would the have a blue back with white numbers? was that a mistake? Surely they were supposed to be yellow numbers and they stuffed it up..

Coming from a club who wears Hackhams, oooops I meant Hawthorns jumper thats a bit rough! Gotta love the old wees & poos.... 8)

Then you'll be pleased to know that L/Creek will be wearing their new clash jumper for the first time tomorrow roo. BTW Hackham wear our jumper, we don't wear Hackham's!

Speaking of clash jumpers...watching the Footy Show last night, I found it ridiculous that Collingwood's clash jumper was pretty much identical to their home jumper! I thought the point of a clash jumper was because you "clash" with another club or clubs. Now Collingwood mainly clash with Nth Melbourne, so why would you not design a clash jumper that is different to Nth Melbourne's??? And how could the AFL approve such a joke for a second guernsey??? And what a bigger joke that now the AFL are forcing Nth Melbourne to wear their clash jumper because the Collingwood home and clash jumpers clash with Nth Melbourne's home guernsey! UTTER DISGRACE!

Did anyone else see the player profile of Lindsay Bassani in the yesterday's VH Times? He had a few good answers actually. I noticed that he listed his occupation as "entrepreneur" does anyone know what that involves?

What was he doing a player profile for?

I thought he had been banned from playing.

Na wasnt bad, as you would have read in in profile, he set a challenge to the senior colts players that if any of them could push him out of the sqaud he wouldnt be playing A grade this year. Thats exactly what has happened, so i think we have just had our first ever B grade player of the week published in the times.

Another young fella that played jnr grade footy in the GSFL is making his AFL debut this weekend, number 19 for West Coast Tim Houlihan. Tim played most his young footy at the Goolwa Magpies then spent one season of Jnr colts with the bays before a move to Bendigo, this guy is a freak athlete with pace off the mark that will keep up with the best of them his down fall is he is a very skinny lad. Good luck Tim!

Just spoke to his mum kappars who is making the journey to Perth from Victoria! We cant win footy matches at the Saints but we have had a hand in another AFL player. Pity we couldn't get him to play a senior game for us, then we would get the $$$$$$.

Maybe you should bring in a rule that all of your junior colts have to sit one game each on the A Grade bench just in case there's another Ryan Griffen or Tim Houlihan amongst them!

Bumper crowd at Goolwa Oval yesterday who saw a great display of country footy. Many left shattered after the Saints kicked 1-7 in the final term to again go down, this time by 4 points. No excuses from a Saints point of view, just couldnt finish. Ended the day with 18 points. Myponga to their credit were pretty good. Even when the Saints looked on top they always just hung in there.

saints season offically over then, i think they would have to win every single game from here on to make finals. Sounds like they were unlucky but back to the drawing board for the saints and more recruiting for next year.

Saints are gone you would think. Its hard beacuse we all thought that being competetive would be satisfying but its not. We are happy with the style of football we are playing, the key now is to keep developing and stick together. Still need a big ruckman and a CHF.

The ladder is interesting after this weeks games. Only 1 game between 3rd and 6th, with Mt Compass, Strath, Enc Bay and Victor in a 4 way race for not only the finals, but the second chance as well. Any predictions?

LF.. Depth has been a problem at the Saints for the last 3 or 4 years and I remember you saying at the start of the year that you were getting big numbers out to training. The 2's haven't been going that well so far this season, is this because the numbers dropped off again or is it just because the quality isn't there?
