I know there are probably more pressing issues to be discussed but there's something I need to vent my spleen about...

What is the deal with McLaren's new jumpers??? They are without doubt the worst looking football jumpers I've ever seen... and why would the have a blue back with white numbers? was that a mistake? Surely they were supposed to be yellow numbers and they stuffed it up..

A new guy for myponga, david wallfried cleared from kangarilla only after paying them quite some considerable money. left Kangys on bad terms with a few of the players, especially some quite senior players especially as he is only young.

Limb we shouldnt be surprised as it is Mclaren we are talking about. You would think if they were to get just one thing right it might of been the gurnsey, but no just another stuff up down there.
While we're having a crack at Mclaren i've never seen so much junior success with little influence filtering through to the A & B's
they have the prime location of the league but continue to serve up crap results, where do they all go????

We talked about this earlier limb when they played the Saints. You can just imagine how bad the clash was! (navy back with white numbers clashing with black back with white numbers) I think the question here is: How did the league approve it?

Tips for this week.

ROUND 7 MAY 24TH
YANKALILLA V STRATHALBYN - Strath too strong for Yank, beautiful deck and held up well last weekend!
LANGHORNE CK V MT COMPASS - I think the Creeks, too much strength around the ball for the young Compass side
ENCOUNTER BAY V MCLAREN - Bays, still dont know much about there players but too strong for a struggling Mclaren
WILLUNGA V VICTOR HARBOR - Willunga, a few injuries but hoping some players return to strengthen us up.
SAINTS V MYPONGA/SELLICKS - Saints need the win as well as Pongy, could be season over for the loser? Saints by a couple

My tips:

Strath by 60+ points - after receiving several rockets during the week
Creek by 12 points - Compass to win if the rain comes
Bays by 40 points - why are there 2 eagles? are we the only league without magpies?
Willunga by 80 points - VH have a great midfield but no one can handle Hams, Ryan, Steele etc etc
Saints by 12 points - another one of those 50/50 matches
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!

We could ask that slick character Teflon_Coated whether he knows much about it?

Intersting appointment. Can anyone explain to me how Baz "lost" the job. Winning isnt good enough? Michael Simmons spoken of very highly so no complaint of the appointment just wondering what the reasoning might have been?

Be interesting to see whos available to play also. Few rumblings some players are committed that weekend already and wont be available.

bass didnt declare that at training this week but i did hear a whisper around the traps that Simmo is pretty keen to have Bass on board as an assistant. The rumour i heard was that he wanted bass to concentrate on the very young guys in the side and try and get the best out of them like he has at the bay. will ask mods about his apparent appointment tnite at training.

My mail is that Simmons was asked after Baz said he wanted the weekend off but would be happy to do the zone side legibly.
I reckon that the GSFL only need Portlock to make a contest of it.

Thats not how it happened at all Bass. Sorry Teflon Coated. You lookin forward to the challenge against the RMFL??

Baz doesnt EVER want a weekend off footy! So that is not the reason hes not coaching, is it a rotation idea?

And what is legibly? Do you mean allegedly or legitimately?

Maybe the brains-trust at the GSFL are worried they will beat the RMFL by too much, so have decided to employ a mole by adding Bass to the coaching panel?
