Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

I don't have a problem supporting Ravendale, when it is my turn to play there based on a fair and equitable draw put out by the PLFL.

I have a problem with my club and others having to give up home games and revenue when all we get is the can bar, that is going to provide stuff all when run in competition with upstairs, compared to the revenue we get from a normal home game.

I always thought it was a bold move by Tasmans to move there and if it didn't work it would be to the detriment of the TFC. Never did I think the failings of Ravendale would affect my and every other club which they now are.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

Ravendale wouldn't be a bad place for a shopping centre either.

All part of IB's grand plan to bring the community closer together westcoastpanther.

It is now a huge debt we (ratepayers) have taken on and the council have to get people out there or it will become the next Stamford Oval. What bothers me is the so called 'gaurantors' of this project have not been made accountable at all. If it was any other business they would be made accountable? But I guess they knew they always had the council to fall back on if it didn't work.

Ravendale is good for a dump and thats about it. The area cops all the bad weather, smells like fish factories, it has 'undesirables' living around it and is not a place to put any business venture. It has no traffic passing, is not inviting to visit (who would know when it is open?) and the people that live around it have no money.
But hey lets put a sporting complex out there and a function centre and expect it to pay its way.

You probably live in a waterfront manchent. I am talking south/west of Follett St (the dark side).
