If true, surely an unprecedented move in country footy or was he originally appointed as a non playing coach. From all reports gets a bit of the footy.
By the way 5 out of 5 again this week although the Saints margin suprised a little.

LuvsFooty wrote:Just a quick post before heading to the Saints "Mouse Cup"! Saints won the A's today by 62 points. Dont quote me but I beleive it was the most goals we have kicked in 3 years. Pudney got 7. The promising sign was the B's winning by 18 goals and the senior colts won 32-10 to 0-0. About bloody time.

Wainting on the Sunday Mail but I have heard that VH beat Myponga by 1 goal and Creeks got over Bays by 5.

Great to hear the saints got up in all snr grades, one would think its been a while since this happened. Things in coming years could be positive for saints if they can keep the colts they must be playing some good footy to have a score line like that.
I thought Victor would have beaten Myponga a bit easyer than they did, also Creeks should have won that game by more. Are any teams apart from Strath and Creek going to show up in the second round of the season to play Willunga? Give them that cup!

This could be a good thing. Here's a quote from one of the boys at our club about the great man, "He's built like Tarzan but plays like Jane!"

The margin suprised us to Dewkicker. We were disappointed that we didnt put them away. I think after kicking 7 in the third against the breeze, we could only manage 3 or 4 in the final term. Should have been more but a win is a win for us.

bays once again kicked themselves out of the game unfortunatly. Matched creeks all the way but the difference is a big full foward. If the bays can get their hands on a big full foward ASAP they will be up in the top 3.

The fowards the bays had on sat did a great job and the midfeild and defence was outstanding but without a presence of a big man up foward who can out muscle and take a big pack mark it makes it very hard.

Although the margin was just under 5 goals the game was much closer than the score line suggests.

The Creeks should've won by more realistically but with the Bays missing the last 5 out of 8 shots of the game and playing with 17 players for the final term it makes you wonder. Great to see the Bays using several senior colt players but missing Blum must've hurt.
The Creeks moved the ball fluently with a team that knows the game plan to a T; they really hurt the visitors on turn overs.

Bass in the B'Grade was simply stunning as he used his silky skills slotting a couple through but again 0 hard ball gets...

Top 3?? Bays will be 4th-5th at best.
Mudlarks couldnt finish off the roos. 3 goals up with 10-15 mins to go. Jacques is a big in. Also with the 2 tampons to come back in (Tomo & Wack) (In for 1 week, out for 3) Myponga may sneak in to the top 5!
On the points system i have heard Myponga have put in a complaint about Strath being over in Rd2

Great, it will probably be dropped for the 08 season or allowances made which personally would be disgraceful. All they should be doing Wednesday night is reiterating the rules and then sending home little envelopes with fines in them for the naughty club/s if any.

I'm not sure how Enc Bay pick their best players but Owen Love (is it him or his brother that wear's 33??) would've easily been in the best 2 or 3 players on the ground but didn't get a mention in the Bays 5 best.

Another Saints person on the forum!! (or are you one of the Encounter Bay players that came along on Saturday night?) I would thoroughly recommend that all clubs look in to the Mouse Cup for a social function. Dont know what other GSFL clubs make on a Saturday Night, but I think we made about 5k on the night, which is solid for us. Go to mousecup.com for more details, It is a cracker of a night.

Just for the record a mouse called George Bush won the cup. And your right Basket Case, that mouse called Bassani that was very short just didn't perform on the big stage.

Come on Cuzzy I was not at the game Saturday as i was hoping to be, but after speaking to a few people they have all said Creek played terrible and copped a massive spray after the game because they were so bad! No way would bays be a top three side with just one new player, Bays have the best draw for the start of the season out of all clubs and the in there last five games are going to see them drop alot and may slip out of the top 5 (if they are in at this stage of the sweason) like 07?
