i forgot on that list also RICK BURLING is basically a new player to them this year as he was rubbed out with his ribs after 3 or 4 games.

what you have nothing better to do than watch a club train? sad life your leading there mate  so do you even play buckley or are you just another keyboard warrior that feels big and almighty on a forum where noone knows who you are?

Seems like peaks been doing some fair recruiting in the offseason, flying under the radar a bit  shall watch this league with great interest. Mus$t be a few dollar$ being handed out!

With half of these recruits, where would that realistically put Peake come September?
And if they had all of them?

Well the list is 18 Players, so thats last years A Grade side in the 2s, & weren't their ressies Premiers?

No way are they getting all of these guys, but if they got the first list (which I think may be close to correct) plus a couple of others, the will finish...........

Poor Carey is desperately trying to play the situation down. I don't know Carey personally but I know people that do and I would say he's not much of a bullsh!t artist.
So I'm going to suggest sure, possibility that Peake spoke to a number of those players listed. Probably signed a few. But overall not much compared to what it being bandied about on here.
Just a question, is Ian Farley to Peake what Leighton Huxtable is to Karoonda? Or is it more of a collaboration of farmers that keep the club going?

not quite onsong leighton has more of a hands on role at karoonda where as ian is more of a behind the scenes type of person and of course helps out with money.

i think the offical number of blokes in is 11 the 2nd list that MR KNOWITALL put up was a list that the club was chasing but didnt get any of them and saying that last years 18 will be in the B's is just stupid!

come september SHOULD peake still be playing i think will be a huge bonus for the club but as ive said before peake did finish bottom last year and were at times a 10-15goal worse of side than other teams running around so signing all these blokes MAY just bridge the gap a bit as oppossed to having peake as front runners if you get what i mean.

had that hole list come to peake BOOTHEY,L.HARROWFIELD,JENCESH,LYONS with what peake have already picked up and of course kept from last year then yes peake would've been looking at a top 2 or 3 finish as boothey and luke especially are match winners on there own.

its a 6 team comp i expect us to finish at the end of the minor round somwhere in the bottom 4 ;)

The clearances are starting to be listed for the Mallee League. A couple of highly credentialed players linked to Karoonda.

By all accounts these Cove recruits can play, or have been able to play very well around their flag in the SFL. Does this bridge the GF gap for the Mallee Maggies?
At least with the clearances coming up, names can be bandied about realistically half of Peake's 'list' now appearing.
What about Pinnaroo? Whatever happened to Kimmy Koster last year?

The word about is half of the cove boys were just pumping up their value and have taken offers back at cove, you see this alot these days, realy annoying when you think you are done then next thing you know you loose 3 in feb, hard work to fill those spots now, same thing happend to us at ..... last year but we were lucky enough to replace these guys with good jnrs and still win the flag.

Pumping up there value ???.... Dont get me wrong all the names are capable players . But none of them are superstars and would be in the second half of cove side selected each week. None of them you would say would set the Mallee league alight

Frigging hilarious!! how would i kow who was at Peake training?? i live in adelaide! Mate i support Peake, and even make it out to watch a few games now and then, but i havent played since 08, and even then rarely made it out to training (there are advantages to being a fat B grader  )

I dont know where you get the idea anyone is playing Peake down. I know carey talks some shit, but he normally talks things up, not down! he even told me Box head was a good bloke!!
regardless of supposed recruits Peake have a long way to go if they are to be considered serious contenders. they are a great club, filled with great people, but aside frem the B grade and the colts they have had a very dismal record since i have been associated with them (and to be honest, quite a while longer than that.)

I would love for them to turn it around, and if you are correct with all of these supposed pick ups that would be awesome! but i will wait to actually see them on the park in the Lions guernsey on game day (and probably wait till it is their second or third game to be honest, there is a bad history of players disappearing after a game or two) before i believe they are sticking around and can make as much of an impact as you say.

But if they do stay, and they do have the impact you suggest, i will reserve the spot right now for you to proclaim that "you told us so!!!"
