Some of these younger boys are mail medalists for their age and also best and fairest winners. Can anyone from the bay share any limelight on this rumour, is it true as this would be a big loss to the bays if point system does come into play

Proud of it hey Cuzzy? Late last year you posted for a few months negative infomation about the bays that does not seem too proud to me!

WoW Bruiser is working on the rigs in Moomba i believe. Quite a big loss as was probably the Best fullback in the comp last year with his closing speed and ability to jump for the spoil. Adsy is very disappointed and hopes for a speedy return for Bruiser in the near future

He was very good last year, got the job done each week. Has Matty B slotted into FB? No doubt Carnaz would have a photo close by to remind him of the big fella!

Matty is down back and playing very well, its a match up thing down there, depending on where the talls are lining up etc but im sure hes elated to be at FB again  In Mattys eyes hes just pumped to be playing again after 2 seasons out!!

Adsy sleeps with a photo, has 1 in his wallet and puts one on the wall so its the last thing he punches...i meant touches before we run out to a game!

kappars, think we all post stuff that will make our club look either worst or better than it really is. I probably had you guys going with the Alistar Lynch thing (haha). No club would be silly enough to post on here who the big name recruits are that they are chasing and what they are being offerd. At the bay we more or less took the approach in posting riducolous information on here so people like you would take it seriously. Our approach has worked because as you and a couple of other people have written bays are still very unpredictable and some people even have said they are alot beter than what they intially thought they would be.

remeber kappars never believe everything you hear

My Tips

Willunga 40+ (Braidwood would be handy for compass to complement Fromm)
LC 40+ (unfortunately the top few sides are a cut above the rest)
VH 35 (Myponga start doing a rain dance)
Strath 60+ (Mclarens youngsters to have a red hot go)
Saints 10 (thats a 10 point tip from the heart, head says 50/50 contest)
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!

Cuzzy, its a valid point you make about what people say and what is hidden with in a club but when looking back at all your posts in november and december it was 90% negative towards the bays. Take WOW for example he has left a club due to what ever reasons but he does not post negative info about the club he is proud to say he was from. It looks like you along with most others doubted the ability of Encounter Bay coming into the season and now that they are travelling ok (yet to face any of the top 3 sides) you are saying your a proud member of the bays. I for one admit i am impressed with the bays efforts so far but will they continue and will they be able to hold up against the likes of Strath, Willunga and Creek?
I think you could get slightly hurt this weekend and the house of pain.

yeah i admit i was negative but more as a bit of a joke, as lindsay didnt know a few of the bays boys were on here and him and panther 32 were madly trying to find out who we were. So it was a bit of a running joke for a period of 3 months because we would get on here and write negative stuff towards the bays and he wouldnt have a clue who was writing it. Until a saturday session of training and he found out, jeeze we did some running that day.

Unfortunatly the site is no longer graced with Bassani's presents as his work has changed and doesnt get time to sit on his computer all day, dont think he even has a computer in his new line of work.

miss the character of the site.

as for the house of pain, looking foward to it! why as a club go into a game negative, i am sure every player this weekend lining up for the bays has been looking at a few of the creeks last couple of games and will go in positive this week. All we have to do at the bays is finish off, we have given away the last two games and we could be in the top three undefeated if it wasnt for the bloody goal post.

i myself would much rather go into a game positive than do what a few of the blokes from the saints are doing and just give up or loose all confidence. Remeber Creeks and Willunga have everything to loose and every other club has everything to gain.

Cuzzy explain to me how we have more to lose than Encounter Bay or any other side??

This makes no sense, we have 100 minutes to win a game of footy, we have no more RIGHT to win than anyone else so you have as much to lose as we do!

because your team everyone says is to good for anyone to beat. It may not be you (willunga) saying this yourself, but if you ask around the league everyone wants to beat Willunga as they are billed as the best team in the comp and as someone has said before they should be the great southern representative side (i dont agree). Wouldnt you think BJ if the roles were reversed and the saints were stated the best team in the side and you (willunga) come up to play them wouldnt you lay everything on the line to beat them and inspire to beat them.

its a credit to Willunga that they can come up each week and keep winning by big margins and still play great footy, but it would also be a great confidence boster to a team that beats Willunga. You as Willunga have something to loose as you are the favourite and the other teams are the underdogs.

How many years in a row has Willunga been in the grand final?

I understand the mentality behind it, but its nothing more than an inspiration thing as the basics of it are both sides start equally on the day. A lot of those people saying that stuff are jus being silly and trying to back up statements that are over the top ie, best side in country footy etc etc.

Surely each and every week u lay everything on the line to win!!! Not just when your playing us, or Victor coz its the derby game. Each week its vital to win!!!! No week is more important!

We are the favourite in the papers eyes, other teams eyes maybe, thats an opinion. We have to do the right things at training, preparation, everything along those lines and then play the 2 hours of footy to win the game like everyone else! So our motivation comes from within as we only have control over what we do, not what anyone else does.

4 GFs in a row we have played in. Why?

Starting to sound like a coach BJ and that is part of the reason Willunga currently is the best outfit. I would be sure that your preparation is the key to your success because it doesnt matter how good your talent is if you dont put a good base behind it.
For the uneducated let them know what sort of numbers you get at training particularly on a Tuesday night. A few posters would be embarrased when compared to their clubs ( some registering only single figure numbers on the odd occasion) -they dont give themselves, their team mates, their club or the coach a fair chance.
Anyway keep up the good work and i will step off my soapbox.

He is starting to sound very much like a coach. Perhaps this is why a Gsfl club approached him to see if he was interrested.

Not associated with just one club in the GSFL.

i know a bit about the coaching selection for this season at the bays, and i am pretty sure portlock was not in contention or even mentioned. the boys were pretty happy with the final decision to have bass back for another year at bay land.
