hey magpie from the 80's. manos is coaching our under 17's and doing a decent job with the team he's got. belsole is still around the club but no longer directly involved. he did pull on the boots for a game of b's last year and kicked a lazy 3 goals from the pocket. bridgy are the business this season boys

GetTheSherrin wrote:SB, blackwood will be the big improvers, for one year atleast. lofty beat them last year without them scoring a goal. even though they ended up 5th they were fairly ordinary. i think maybe 3rd or 4th this yr.

big downfall for barker this year, even though they didnt do well last year this year could well be a disasterous year for them. with over half of there side leaving because of the coach and s.nunans love for himself.

but i think most are just excited to see what birdwood produce in theyre first year in central div. anything off the bottom would realistically acceptable. have heard they may have picked up some quality players but we'll have to wait and see how they go against onkas in rnd 1.

onkas will be disappointed in losing klun this year but will still be in the top 5 easily.

uris have lost a few but ithink have picked up enough to cover it, wouldnt think top 3 will change this yr. blackwood maybe push in there.

lofty looking very strong again. lost one or two but will be more than compensated with 4 or 5 quality pick ups.

bridgy and IB may be fighting with lobe and hahndorf in what will be a stronger bottom 5 this year. both IB and bridgy are always capable of winning games at home which they shouldnt.

pumped for rnd 1 boys.

Uris are looking alright on track, better this week when cricket finishes. Predict will be backin the 2's GF, go close in the A's

if they dont have a good enough side for u to back the A's for the flag i doubt whether the B's will be good enough to beat lofty this year. obviously the better the A's are the better the b's will be. do you think uris a's this year would beat their last years side??

uris were lucky to get into the b's GF last year, the whole club wouldve had to get stronger for them to back it up.

Cabbage B's were very inconsistent last year until the end of the season - timed it well really.

Can't see where your b grade improvement will come from. Most of your team would have been 30+ and father time stands still for no man.

Looking at your U17's they were poo in boots last year, so again can't see improvement from there.

For the Devils on the other Hand, only a couple of players out (including a couple of washed up b grade hacks who couldn't get a kick in a street fight - even if they start shit in the pub!!!) but plenty of high quality U17's coming through on the back of a premiership.

Plus the 5-6 rookies in the 06 b grade who will only get bigger and better after their debut season.

I actually expect IB b's to be the big improvers in '07 with their influx of u17's around some senior players. Handorf also to a lesser degree.

Mt Barker to fall right off the pace in the b's.

2 of the sillier posts I've seen. But play on, it's the silly season and we all need some entertainment.

I'll continue with the silly theme:

Devils are paying every senior player $1,000 per game.
Juniors get $200 per game and instructions on being a ballbag on the balcony.
Gumeracha and Callington to contend the 2007 Country GF. There will be a fight in the thrid quarter which will halt the game......hang on, that's probably not that silly!!!!
Manos to suit up for shanty and make the 2007 association team.

That means there's going to be plenty of cut people at the club after the games each saturday night, gold!

Hey what was the kitchen like at devil park last year, did they have a chef in the kitchen each week? Gotta love a good schnitta after the game!

LTSO, yeah mate every thursday and saturday we had the chef from the crafers (waccas) there. he's a gun chef mate. but the really good food came at about 3.30am in the morning after we won our flags, when about 5-6 of us strolled into the kitchen and grabbed every piece of food we could find and deep fried it. my heart still hurts from that meal.

There's always plenty of cut people at the club. Now it will just happen MUCH earlier!!!

Had the chef from the Crafers last year and the Devils meals were better than at any pub in the hills.

$12 for a PHAT steak with chips and veg
$11 for a PHAT parmi with chips and veg.

That could actually expain how we pay our players $1,000 per game - Wakkas awesome feeds after the game.

I thought you were going to say your rolled 5-6 spliffs and then walked into the kitchen...would have to be the best possible outcome if you found yourself in the unfortunate situation of having a couple phatties stuffed down your throat after winning a GF!

Golden news about the Kitchen. Go Devils!

Wow agreeing with u now DA...WHAT NXT? :o B grade will be dominated by lofty again no doubt but do expect a much stronger IB. Around 15-20 new faces on the track and some very handy B grade types. stronger a grade normally means stronger b grade. coupled with juniors coming up and rookies improvements should be good competition. U would think blackwood would be the same with their new faces but if their juniors all get sick of being pushed down the grades they may still be old and slow.

Clearly the best clubs are those which have EVERYONE back on saturday nights for meals and pressos. Interaction between juniors and seniors etc all leads to healthy club future.

GTS... being SCIB man i'll probably head on up to watch bit of the B and D grades. If i can find someone who wants to forgoe the beer and drive we mite pop into the odd A grade game also. Happy Hitting everyone ha
