From today Waybacks bet Tod River in the A Grade
Tod River beat Waybacks in the B Grade
About the only notable thing from the B grade was Tommy Gent from Tod River with 6 for.

Souths about 250 Tasmans around 146
sorry not a big cricket nut highlight of the day a well composed 45 by 15yo Riley Haines
for the Red and Whites to back up his similar innings in the morning with the colts.
I think they had four or five 15/16 year olds in the side but were evened up in the age department
by V Kurovec.

We've been told that Great Flinders have now made it through.

However .....

In the GF vs Tumby match GF were 8 down with 4 balls remaining. GF lost a wicket and Forster was unable to bat due to injury, therefore according to MCC Laws of Cricket 12.3.....

A side’s innings is to be considered as completed if
(a) the side is all out
or
(b) at the fall of a wicket or the retirement of a batsman, further balls remain to be bowled but no further batsman is available to come in

Therefore, the way I read this is that GF have completed their innings, effectively losing all 10 wickets.

If that's the case the PL go through to the final.

This years henderson shield really has become a farce.

If that is the rules then eags Port Lincoln should be in the final. If a batsman is to psss waek to come out and bat then he should be classed as being out. Or you could have the farcical situation of players (with limited batting ability) not wanting to go and bat to save percentage.
This is a joke.

Is there a charity match on this weekend? anyone know anything about it? Hasn't been promoted at all.

I don't really agree with any of those sentiments there OL.
If a batsman is retired hurt, it can't be considered a wicket, otherwise, who does the wicket get credited to?
And to call him 'psssweak' for retiring hurt is also a joke.
No team would deliberately go out there and retire batsmen to save percentage, that is flat out ridiculous.
If they are the rules, then so be it. Cop it on the chin, and think maybe a PL should have made more runs, or taken more wickets, and this situation wouldn't even exist.
That's sport though. Win some, lose some.

Interesting to see that a young talent from MR is on his way to TFC, wondering how MR feel about this seeing he has grown up in the club and his old man has been a team manager of various grades for basically ever. Wade Hanson is the name, apparently can play. Handy for the TFC.

Any other recruits worth mentioning?? Is Jayden Roderick going to BFC like all the rumours are saying?
