Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

BCC and Ron - some differing opinions there.
I'm pretty sure Bridgey would find it tough to scrape up $56k, but I'm also pretty sure that not all clubs are divulging EVERY recruit they get.
And mind you, some recruits take time to adjust to hills footy for some reason so it's normally around the half way mark of the year that you see which recruits are taking to it all. And if it gets wet too...
I spoke to a Bridgey player and he said that it was heard to tell, but mothing spectacular out on the track.
Any word on the new boys in Central and who they've got?

Anyone who thinks the Devs spent anywhere close to $56k is dead set DONKEY.

Seriously that's as dumd as it gets.

Yes we spent coin, but we didn't win the lottery. And despite the speculation we aren't growing drugs either.

$56k hahahahahahahahaha - bloody donkeys!!!!!!!!!!!

No of course not DA, I live in Melbourne...but i must admit i did get my wires crossed...when i was told 50K apparently it's more like 50c(i.e. nothing), and League was apparently B-grade 'League...oops! I guess it pays to check things before you post them on this addictive bloody website huh. He will be a solid bench warmer though. The part about MASSIVE unit and can hold himself in a pub fight though was all true...I shite you not!

The more people that can hold themselves in a pub fight the better.

I need as much protection as I can get after my stupid antics of recent times. That and my big mouth make me a bigger target than Osama bin Kim Jung Il

If Osama was in town I'd be swingin hay makers with the best of them to get my share of the $100+ mill on his head...but if Kim Jung was around, i'd be jumping in the quickest vehicle i could find and heading straight to Ayres Rock. No doubt he'd nuke the place after you got in his face DA.

Big lad, very solid CHF and is very highly regarded around the mountain.
Forgive the ignorance, lads, haven't even been on here for yonks, but I read a post that said Blackwood would be on par with Lofty and Uri's.
They were that far off Lofty last season (15 goal flogging, then not kicking a goal in the second round clash), what's made up the difference?

does he still coach / play?

Not at Lofty. Last coached the A grade in 2005 to the finals.
But I think he may still be around the hills.
Now THAT is a hard man to stop...esp. if he came back for a cheeky stint at FF in the B's...

Now, now!!!

I think he could quite easily slot into any A grade FF spot in the hills.

I'm sure Grainge would love to have him in the goalsquare.

Sure he's 40odd, but he's fitter, stronger and bigger than most his size in the HFL!

SB, blackwood will be the big improvers, for one year atleast. lofty beat them last year without them scoring a goal. even though they ended up 5th they were fairly ordinary. i think maybe 3rd or 4th this yr.

big downfall for barker this year, even though they didnt do well last year this year could well be a disasterous year for them. with over half of there side leaving because of the coach and s.nunans love for himself.

but i think most are just excited to see what birdwood produce in theyre first year in central div. anything off the bottom would realistically acceptable. have heard they may have picked up some quality players but we'll have to wait and see how they go against onkas in rnd 1.

onkas will be disappointed in losing klun this year but will still be in the top 5 easily.

uris have lost a few but ithink have picked up enough to cover it, wouldnt think top 3 will change this yr. blackwood maybe push in there.

lofty looking very strong again. lost one or two but will be more than compensated with 4 or 5 quality pick ups.

bridgy and IB may be fighting with lobe and hahndorf in what will be a stronger bottom 5 this year. both IB and bridgy are always capable of winning games at home which they shouldnt.

pumped for rnd 1 boys.

Pretty close wrap up there GTS... definitely be alot stronger comp this year.. as u said the bottom 5 i think will be alot more competitive this year compared to last year. Big slide down for barker and slight rises for Bridgy IB. Lobeys Hahndorf staying around the same mark. Uris Lofty Onkas an possibly Blackwood still in class of their own.

Finally agreed with somehting uve said GTS. :D time for a celebration!!
