Last season, Shane was supposedly meant to play at Tanunda aswell, but didn't.
I talked to Greenwood at the Freeling Hotel and clearly said his mate from West.
President of the club also said that it wasn't Shane.
Although Shane would be a very handy pick up.

The club has indicated that he has an open cheque book and he can bring six new players.
Word around the Freeling Hotel on Saturday night is that Taylor (ex Tanunuda) and Shane Schubert are certain starters.
Redlegs Premiers 2010!

Reckon your on the money with Schubert, but I dont reckon there is anything to the Taylor rumour. As for the open cheque book for 6 players, it just isnt going to happen. Mensforth and S. Eichner have already signed as imports, I would expect Scubert and Eich's brother to be 2 more. That leaves 2 to get, with irons in the fire. As for former locals, only time will tell.

Travis Muster is planning on playing at Broadview next year for one more season.

Muster is no real great loss anyway.

Those at Broadview would disagree with that 100%, he had a very good season and will be an asset again if he stays on.
I only saw him twice but he looked okay to me.

Im not sure Tanunda will let Taylor just be a boom recruit for freeling seeing as though he played there 2 years ago!!! Time will tell!!!

Any news on the Kapunda coaching gig??

From all reports this shouldn't be a problem as the Tanunda playing budget has been halved after their post premiership celebrations in a certain Tanunda licensed premises. These costs have blown out beyond $12,000 plus.
The Freeling open cheque book may be able to aid there cause with a clearance fee for the big Mal Hyde and Taylor. Wells may also be included in the package to foot the bill.

Im not 100% sure, but my understanding is if your going to another club as a playing coach then a clearance is automatic, so Freeling wouldnt have to pay any amount of money for Greenwood to switch clubs (other than the healthy some we'd be paying him personally to coach), just what I've been told and lead to believe.

12k would be an 5th of Tanundas playing budget. minimum. heard the condition of tanunda footy club footing the bill and not passing it onto the player was that the player remained at tanunda for season 2010 and held off chasing the big $$$ on offer for him around the state. not sure who the player is. heard he wears number 99 tho.

Thats the funniest thing i've heard since Ben Puberry ignored the AK47 with 2 minutes to go in the GF and went for goal instead.
Meanwhile the AK47 was left stranded on 99.
Rumour has it the AK47 was trying to withdraw his weekly match payment, but the ATM was limited to $1,000 withdrawals. :D

Limited withdrawals of $1,000 a week for a few Freeling recruits in 2010, plus.....wait for it.............$10.000 sign on fee each year for 3 years.
No to many league players getting this amount in the SANFL.
Freeling by the sounds of it is copying the Torrens Valley road to failure.

Hopefully the club has spent some decent $$$s on facilities. The seating around the boundary in front of the club was held together with cable ties when we were there not long before the finals  .

Maybe next time you venture to Freeling you can just bring one of your many kennels with you. I'll be more than happy to help you tie your leash to the fence post.

I think you'll find there are some new seats there which were also there on GF day. The plan is to replace the old ones and put them on a small terrace behind them so there are two rows. The old ones wont be there much longer.

Not dreaming at all drifter, someones got that sort of money down there as this is ridgy didge.

We don't need to cross the boundary's down Seaton to reach or win a GF.

NM, not sure who your supposed source is, but I can categorically tell you they are wrong. Sign ons are part of some deals at clubs including Freeling over the years, but that figure is nowhere near the mark ! Not even close. Also, I wasn't aware that you had a boundary in Amateurs ?

Presentations

Postby Osama » Fri Oct 09, 2009 9:33 pm

Couple of B&F Presentation Dinners on tonight Nuri, Angaston and Willaston.
Won't be able to afford to get along to the Angaston dinner, so I might have a beer with daysofourlives at the Brauhaus Hotel instead.
The Nuri count should see Tregenza win in a canter, followed by Salter and Sappsford.
Expect the panther count to be tightly contested.
Will come down to Dawes, Diddles or the man resembling a freshly skinned chicken fillet, Brandon 'The Body' Kurtz.
Any other B&F results coming to hand yet?
Have you had your count yet Norm11? interested to see how it went.
