Greenwood will no doubt bring some quality players with him. Prousey filled the void while we could top up the money jar.
The club has indicated that he has an open cheque book and he can bring six new players.
Word around the Freeling Hotel on Saturday night is that Taylor (ex Tanunuda) and Shane Schubert are certain starters.

Really good get from Freeling. Greenwood is a star player and if he can get quality to the club like leal done a few years back i can see them having a major impact. Im not sure Tanunda will let Taylor just be a boom recruit for freeling seeing as though he played there 2 years ago!!! Time will tell!!!

Any news on the Kapunda coaching gig??

Yes well done to the leggies seems a playing coach is what they feel is the best fit and what better candidate is there than duel premiership star Mal Nourished.

Fortunately for Tanunda the points system doesn't come in until 2011 and under the current BLG system they can still refuse to clear any previously registered Tanunda player to Freeling.

Unless some money changes hands Taylor won't be a chance in hell to get a clearance in 2010 and Tanunda isn't exactly on the bread line so i doubt Lubke will offer big Mal Meninga any assistance to kick start his coaching career.

Reckon your on the money with Schubert, but I dont reckon there is anything to the Taylor rumour. As for the open cheque book for 6 players, it just isnt going to happen. Mensforth and S. Eichner have already signed as imports, I would expect Scubert and Eich's brother to be 2 more. That leaves 2 to get, with irons in the fire. As for former locals, only time will tell.

Pretty sure Muster was a decent sized loss, young local lad who finished runner up in our B&F last season and was only going to get better, and from all reports had a gun season down with Broadies this year,

I don't think he will he go far. This may be his last chance at a premiership since the purse strings have been loosened up for 2010.
It may be good for him to relinquish the captaincy and focus on his own football.

there is a broad cross section of football scientists that contribute to this forum who will give us their objective opinion but i do take your point that the one eyed goat farmers from angaston should be moderated more closely.

I am more than happy to be forthcoming with my objective view.
To many punters surprise, I will pick Angaston.
I believe that the Panthers have had their dress rehearsal and will take the next step in 2010.
Excellent mix of experience and youth, well coached and a couple of new recruits to top it off.

I can tell you right now it's not Shane Schubert.
It's a different Schubert who played for West Adelaide, who is mates with Greenwood.
Not sure fo his first name though.

And Travis Muster was a big loss for Freeling, big, hard bodied midfielder, who earns his own ball.

Good point, many posters will vote for there homeclub.
Though with the inclusion of Roger James and the Steltzers returning I think the Bulldogs will be premiers for 2010.
Barossa, Tanunda, Angaston, Freeling and Centrals, not in any particular order, to be top 5 teams next season.

Feel top 5 will be Angaston , Tanunda , Barossa , Nuriootpa and Freeling . freeling could be the big improvers with new coach , Tanunda are quality outfit who will still be there if they retain most of playing group, Angaston need to retain existing group plus top up with a couple of recruits preferably key position types , Barossa should improve with Roger James able to bring players with him , and Nuri same as Angaston need to retain group and top up with some hard ball getters to complement runners
Sometimes the old guys do know whats best
