No body owes Jervoi$ anything. . They recruit players with ca$h and surely they realise when these players sign they are not likely to stay around for years and play for the jumper!!! Sorry guys but its 2008-09 now, The 1970's are long gone. Generation Y will always be lured by $$$$$

EM22 you are right everyone has given great service to the club, players have been looked after, supporters have been looked after. its unheard of in modern day football to stay as long as sum of the recruits have great era for the club. But there is a lot more to this than just the money, frendships, relationships so on. sum have been looked after other than money. gereration y may need to learn the word loyalty in the future.

I have to agree with that post, he hasn't had a good year since he's been there.
Has only got a game through his brother!
Sometimes opposition clubs get brothers mixed up, sounds like its happened in this case!

Hills you sound like your related to Trev.
Trev has had 4 years at Jervois & 4 years of very good money & 3 years of success.
I know all about it Hills, Trevs a great player but money champ isn't everything & chasing the best $$ aint the way to go about your footy, why- when your at a club that has proven successful over the years winning premierships would you want to leave for a little extra coin$$? got me f--ked when your getting the cake & eating it to.
I thought we play our great game of football because no1 we love the game & no2 we want to strive to be a part of a winning culture that brings success & premierships to the club we "love". Well most people i know are like that, i also know a few that ar'nt too, sounds like i've found another one!
You don't want to end up with a name that travels year to year from club to club for $$$ would you Panther?

Hey Buzz your right on the money there.
I only found out today regarding Panther.
I can't believe he's leaving after 1 year & the Best & Fairest.

Hahaaa couldnt be further from the truth w.o.w. Hills is a mate of mine but we dont always see eye to eye on football matters. I dont know you personally w.o.w but i think its a bit rich saying Trev owes the club. Trev was lured by the almighty dollar and if you recruit guys to the club with big money surely you cant expect loyalty. Sadly loyalty is gone from footy. If it wasnt for $$$$$$$$$$ you wouldnt have these players in the first place.

Trev has only ever had 2 clubs and he has been there 4 years. I'd hardly call him a traitor for leaving.

what were you expecting? Or were you comparing me to one of the best footballers in SA? At a local level?

Trev ripped up in the last half and i think kicked 3 or so goals. Thats why he got the Best on ground award. So yeah i stand by that without him and some Zac Ewer brilliance we wouldnt of won! Im not denying the that baxter and jags played well.

Not only this Footy is life. How is your relationship going with the coach? Or are you still crying about you terrible golf performance?
Grow up mate.

Mate the puppet call was just a bit of fun. Hills & LH at no stage have i posted that Trev or Jervois owes each other anything, i dont know where your getting this from. Im not blaming these guys for considering the cash thats on offer, they're only human. I hope this puts to bed the arguement that Jervois spends a ridiculous ammount of money on players because we cant compete with whats been offered to these guys. Also i hope that the lure of back to back tons may see Trev come back to Jervois.

From reading the previous pages, it doesn't sound like they've signed but are considering a good financial offer.

what i have heard is that Zac is almost signed just pen to paper and then its all done. dont know where just heard he has 98% left the Bluds
also:
morris has taken an offer of teaching in Port Augusta and will be looking for somwhere up there to play.
and both Charles have left Imps. did not see there self becoming good footballers at the club

Signings.
Kenny Brothers to Imperials 2 big big recruits there. There is another person they have recruited but unsure of the name, havent had much to do with the club in the off season.
and Girdham, Puckridge, Harrowfield's are still at Imps and T.Waite is most likely going to play the season at Imps

That is an interesting list Goldberg but not sure about Johncock playing at imps next year. As nice as it would be though.

Muffy has finally signed at Tailem Bend. A former gun at the club (and premiership player) in Michael John has also signed to Tailem, I dunno if his return has anything to do with Muffy's though. Andrew "Cheesy" Coombe is returning as well. That would make 3 lads that are all locals down there and would be worth 0 points.

Other new players include Laurie Rankine from Meningie (pending clearance, but there shouldnt be many problems there), Michael Sumner, apparently Imps have told him he is free to leave and will not stop him this time. As well as 3 new recruits from town, who I am very unsure of at this stage, but reports are all positive.

The Eagles will be the big movers I think in 09, early days yet but could be pretty competitive with Ramblers and Imperials.

Oh, and Big Chico playing at Mannum, WOW!

Chico to Mannum, thats a bit of news there, he'd be in his mid 30's now. If he's anywhere near as effective as he was 5/10 years ago he'll be handy. A forward line with Hentschke at CHF and Chicko at FF will certainly be one to watch out for!
