Really good pick up by Jervois, Braidwood is a super mark . .Be interesting to see how Trev Rigney and him go together up forward.

Good to see Jervois sign up a good forward.
It would be dissappointing if Rigney leaves the bloods as the club has bent over backwards for him over the tears & i believe he owes it to the club to stick around for 2009.
What was dissappointing to hear was Baylis jumping ship to another club once again. How many's that 4 in 4 years?
What i can't understand is why he told the Jervois people presentation night that he'll be sticking around for season 09, as we all know now he's headed off to Reynella, where's the honesty there?

A good reason for him leaving though. If the circumstances were different he would still be at Jervois but with his coaching gig at South Adelaide Basketball Club he cant be that far away from the city on a Saturday.

Rigney i reckon will end up at Goolwa, from what ive heard its a case of Jervoi$ not giving him anywhere near as much as hes being offered down at Coolwa!!!

trev owes nothing to Jervois. this will be his 4th year out there and in my opinion apart from a little bit of zac ewer brilliance. he won a GF single handedly in 07.

I just think with the points system that a lot of leagues have introduced it becomes increasingly important to hang on to players as you are limited to your recruiting the following year. I did tell the coach that I most likely wouldn't be playing there again about 3/4 of the way through the year purely because of other committments. Has anyone mentioned the other blokes that have left the club for one reason or another??? :-?

Which part would you like? Are you going to ask every player that changes clubs to justify why they are changing? I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned on here that this year I am the new Head Coach of the South Adelaide Senior Men's Basketball team, whom play on saturday nights. Playing down at Jervois just would not allow me enough time to get back in time for the game? Meningie is 2 1/2 hours away and that is if we were playing at Marion that night, but we play from Morphett Vale through to Gawler, so it just wouldn't leave me enough time to travel and prepare for the games.
I learnt of the possibility of this job back in August which is when I told the coach that it would be unlikely I would be able to play again.
At presentations I said that the club has a great group of not only players but mates and that I hope they all stay together and get back to winning premierships in 2009. Not once did I say that I personally would be back.
I hope this clears shit up for everyone and people can move on. Let's discuss all the other players that have left?

Theres no ill feeling between Jervois and "Teac" Baylisss for leaving. He wanted to come back in 09 but an opportunity came along that he couldnt say no to. It is good fun to stir him up though.

Which part did you miss Hills? I never said I was hanging around. I said I would entertain the idea, but it was always going to be hard to juggle both roles.
I don't know if I was you I would be throwing stones!
Shouldn't you be having conversations between your two alias so you can try and pump up your tyres and your asking price???

Totally agree Hills......

Trev and Jervois have been good for each other. Trev although paid well has never been in the top 3 highest paid at Jervois. Thats a crock i reckon seeing he is their standout player. Trev could still remain a Blud but i doubt it.

So who has left??
Bayliss
J Rigney
Ewer
Beeching ... i know there is more??

Doubtful
Trev Rigney

Jervois will still recruit quality but not Trev Rigney quality.

heard along the grapevine that Button has signed with Sturt for 3 years and Morris has accepted a teaching role in Port Pirie. Also Dougal poised to sign a cricket contract which prevents him playing footy. Also with Marchetti out with a knee huge losses for Ramblers.
