Also heard that Mypolonga had signed North Adelaide player Ricky Ebert. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I can't confirm or deny, but i did read on the Hills thread that one of the Eberts, presumably Ricky, was possibly looking at playing with his brother in the Hills League. I think the club was Uraidla.

Although there was a couple of Eberts at North so i may be wrong there.

Looking at the Sturt forum, says Luke Button has signed with them for next year.

Woow that will be a real kick in the nuts for ramblers next yr if true.
must of got offered a defending role down there because what i heard was he doesnt want to be a foward.

Does he get along with Mark Dougall alright? has this got anything to do with it?

Probably got more to do with Rick McGowan not being coach of Sturt anymore.

I think the other person Imps are looking at for a coaching role is Damien Garrett if he decides not to play. He would be a great option considering he has played under Fielke for all the time Fielke has been at the club. He also has the best playing record currently in the RMFL.
Brad Martin may be on his way up North for work prospects so you may find thats where he will play footy if thats true.

Would he be popular with other player's at the club though? And best playing record? I'd say if Muffy comes back to the league, as rumoured, he would well and truly bypass Garratt's record.

Very popular with the playing group at Imperials. I did say the best record currently. We are yet to see if Muffy is coming back. Also Im not sure but Garrett would have more premierships to his name just not the Mail Medals Muffy has. Don't get me wrong both very good players in their own right.

I think Muffy would have 4 premierships, Garratt would have 4 as well i think (93, 98, 98, 02). I'm not sure you could compare both players, Muffy is/was a class above Garratt (who admit was a class player), as seen by his Mail Medals. I'd also saw Ewer, in 4 or so years has probably nearly achieved as much as what Garratt did in about 15.

I hear what you are saying. Ewer won a medal.Over 4 years though he has not been as consistent as Muffy & Garrett. I don't think Ewer played Southern Districts the other two did for a number of years.Mu

Menigie still after a coach. I know they interviewed Nigel Fiegert but he is so use to getting Beef cattle for his match payments. Menigie only offered him Coorong Mullet. They are still searching.

I think Muffy is the most decorated player of the RMFL player of the last 15 or so years, Garratt would be up there no doubt about that but i wouldn't have him right up the top. Of the current players, and i wouldn't really put Garratt in that category as he's mainly a B grader these days, i'd probably have Ewer and Mahony as the most accomplished players of the last 5 years.

Anyway i think we both basically agree with each other anyway :)

Wow, Fiegert, he would have been after huge money, i recall one of the GSFL clubs were after him a year or 2 ago but he was out their price range.

I wonder if the Bears have actually received any applications for their position..
