Nice to meet you Goldberg but I don't remember seeing that on any of the last 10 pages.
Smelty would be good at Karoonda but he has also been interviewed for the Mannum job.

While on coaches Luke harrowfield from Imperials approached to coach Karoonda as well.
Meningie have a had a big go to get Damien Garrett from Imps to coach them next year. He could certainly take some big name players with him.

How many games did you get to during the season Lion Heart???

Absolutely zero!! The great man kicked over a hundred goals and was predicted to win the mail medal by many outsiders. Trev is an absolute match winner and is the sole reason Jervois turned their season around and was given even the slightest chance in september. I have heard from numerous sources (not Trev cause he couldnt give a toss) that he was being 'overlooked' in the best this season.

As i said any of the top 3 could of won the B&F. I believe there was only a hand full of votes between the top 2. People see different things when picking the BP's. Kicking a hundred + goals doesnt guarantee you a B&F. Willungas' David Hams kicked 132 & came 4th in there B&F. You saying that Trev was the sole reason that Jervois turned there season around is disrespectful to the rest of the team. You didnt even watch a game. Trev is a gun & we hope he'll be back at Jervois in 09

You cant compare him to Hams Trev isnt your tradition full forward type and spent time on the ball during the year. My point is when Trev was switched to full forward the teams results lifted hugely. There were games when he kicked 70% of Jervois score and couldnt manage a b.o.g. now thats just ludicrous. Not only did he win matches off his own boot he was playing with a ruptured tendon in his finger for half the season and even sustained cracked ribs late in the season. That is a true club champion.

As for Trev remaining a Blud good luck with that you will need it. Either that or you will have to double the size of the brown paper bags he recieves on a saturday night!

I don't think Dogga Garrett would go there but 3 or 4 clubs have spoken to him re coaching next year.

I can tell you Dogga will not be going anywhere. Has already been approached by Fielke to be an assistance coach and is going to go on the imps committee to stir things up a little.

Mallee thread has Peake taking some Imps players, any idea who they are any1, besides Seyers

The RMFL will wont to be on Red alert. With Peake already having a crack at blokes & now Smelty getting the Karoonda job, could be quite a few boys being targeted for a change of scenery.

We'll wait and see, but I am very, very confident of this.

I already know of players Smelty claims to be taking to Karoonda, who completely deny the claims. As in the case of Muffy, who I can assure you has commited to the Eagles - at this stage anyhow, despite contact with his old Coach Smelty.

I see Mannum are still looking for a coach, advert in the Mail. Did they miss the boat with the guys they chased?

Give the job to Sarno, he rates himself pretty highly as aplayer so coaching for him should be a breeze, or has he changed clubs again?
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Goldbergs post on the "imports?" thread:

Jervios Panthers 14
Imperials 7
Ramblers 6
Mannum 7
Mypolonga 6
Tailem Bend 9
Meningie 5

I reckon this is an interesting topic.

Who are the 6 imports at Ramblers Goldberg? I can think of Sykes, Girardi, Viney, Bretag, then i guess Marchetti and Zadow.

14 for the Panthers
