What are going to be the big match ups in the games this weekend?
i.e a DAVID HAMS vs a SIMON DENNIS or an ERIC MARTIN vs a PETER YON. Wouldn't that be gd to watch.

The Creek have lost more players according to the GSFL website. With King gone they couldn't afford to lose McDonald. What a big blow, they will struggle this season. How many have they lost?

Toughcall i still fail to see the Creeks dropping away too much. Im sure a couple of players will pop up in there colours if not this Saturday then very soon. Im certainly not writing them off just yet. You're right tho D Macdonald is a big loss and was a great replacement for King, now Mcleod needs to step up and be a target up the ground.

Itching for the weekend as im sure everyone else is!

Creeks will still be a very good side, as BJ said more players will pop up in with in the next week or 3. This week they sound a bit light on with a few under injury clouds and still with work commitments Victor could be the surprise package and come out first round with a very handy win over the creek at the creek. Will Lee Saunders suit up against his old side this week as I dont believe he has played creek at creek since departing and could be very handy in the middle for victor if creek are light on.

Don't think Lee Saunders will be lining up for victor on saturday as he did his knee last night , dont know how bad but would definitely say he will miss the first round if not more . As for the creek i'm sure some names will pop up sometime soon .

The bays have picked up a young bloke called Anthony Bascombe who has been on the Port Magpies under 19's list. Played all year in the 17's last season and is a country boy looking for a team. The other one is a Leroy Boland from Coober Pedy, don't know a whole lot about him but he kicked 30 odd goals in about 6 matches up there so can kick a few when needed, will be a good back up for Lindsay...
I also noticed an M. Eagle from the Seaton Ramblers on the list of players trying to be cleared, anyone know anything about him?
Rankine has come across from Modbury and if we asked a few from the Div 4 forum they would say he's a bit of a thug. It seems that EB have a couple of unknown's coming into the team which will give them the boost they need. Should be a pretty quick running side with the Bags brother's, and these young fella's adding to an already young team.

Bascomb should be in handy in GSFL and will make up for EB missing out on Wes Bilney.

Not long now..
Here are my tips... and margins

Mt Compass over Myponga - 35 points
Langhorne Creek over Victor Harbor - 10 points
Encounter Bay over Yankalilla - 40 points
Strath over Saints - 45 points
Willunga over McLaren - 70 points

Looking forward to opening the Sunday Mail to see how far off I was!

Creeks by 10 Limb? Not confident of a solid first up win.

I've heard that Victor have improved a fair bit and I reckon a few of our blokes that have had an interupted pre-season through vintage will need a week to get some match fitness before they're at their best. A win's a win though, whether its 1 point or 101.

I think we still have the potential to be one of the better teams in the magoos however it is a much younger side. It will be great to see how some of these young fellas develop as the year goes on.

The Bays are coming fast. Five signings in 3 days, that will stir the pot.
