Well said sm on Jurek. He had not been cut so whoever Teflon is he better check his inside info in the SANFL. He got dropped for 1 trial without any reason, so he decided to walk. Victor are the winners. He will go well and worth $200. Anyone who knows Chris knows he would not come out and ask for $400. BJ on the money with the five, although I reckon Saints are going to be interesting. Who will kick the goals for Saints?

Saints should have multiple scoring options with wilson , hirst , pudney , evans and the smaller running players . Was a huge area of concern last year with their inability to score goals , you must be putting at least 15 goals on the board each week to be competetive .
White line fever , say it is'nt so

I with you TC, I think the saints will have a great running game and have some options up forward but i cant see someone consistantly kicking 4-7 goals per match. Plenty of guys will chip in with 1's and 2's but is that enough?

3 people at two clubs who interviewed the player in question stated his demands to me but to be honest I'm not to bothered, being dropped for a trial without reason surely gives and indication on whether a bloke will be a regualr or not doesnt it?

At this point as a new poster I should add that I have never seen the Jurek kid play and sincerely wish him all the best in whichever comp he plays. I'm certainly not attempting to rub anyone up the wrong way so apologies for anyone that may have taken my posts incorrectly.

Does anyone see the resemblance between Lindsay Bassani and that gecko on the Bridgestone ads?

Surpirses me he got cut from South Reserves who are struggling. Unless its an attitude thing as his ability is definitely good enough for 2s footy.

I think at this stage of the season every side is fighting for any spot on the ladder TC.

My tip for the 5 in no order.

Creeks, Strath, Willunga, Victor, Compass.

After the first few rounds we will have a better idea of who did well in the off season and who fell behind.

Were'nt Encounter Bay a top five side and maybe played in a GF only a few years back? Didn't Mypo finish in the five only last year? Whtas teh reason for these clubs not featuring?

My news on Jurek comes from inside the SANFL however people do talk I suppose and stories get muddled etc.

Agreed with Bj's top 5, EB finished outside the 5 last year and by the looks of the of the Ins and Outs on the GSFL website, will struggle to make it this year!
But time will tell if they can manage to win a few and get back on top. I hope they can make the top 5, would make all the crap dribbled on about them earlier on here worth while!!

Whether it is dribble or fact, everyone is entitled to their opinion and it is great we have such diverse ones as that is what the game is about. With not being in the inner circles of clubs, from the outside it looks obvious that the Bays and Creek will fall in 08. Both clubs have lost an extraordinary amount of players and although both will be very competitive, as is their culture, they have to tumble through the sheer weight of their losses. It is not paying out the clubs, it is just an educated observation.

Murray Bridge races: Race 8 No. 10 - Encounter Bay. Can it run a bold race? I am tipping it will run 7th or 8th. Put it in your quinellas with Givemesomething.

The Bays have picked up a couple from Port Adelaide this week with potentially one more signing to come. Will help bolster their stocks a little...
