Whoever wrote that the RMFL is not up to the standard of other comps has tall poppy sindrome! i have played int three local leauges and SANFL i can tell you that all are different, but none is better than another. What needs to happen is for the top two sides from every league to play off either at the start or end of the season with prize money to put this shit to rest!

I agree rockets there may be a difference but it wouldnt be as big as what some would think!

Better still, id like to see the so called teams that mock our league go against Jervois, Imps or Ramblers.

Lofty are very good though.

mind you Ramblers beat Jervois by 10 last year too?

I do beleive they did, but as you can imagine, the emus flog wilunga when they play too and i know wilunga can fill better sides! some bigger names that went to the loxton carnival pre season got beat too! it seems to me the better sides are coming good when needed! just my veiw!

Realistically the 5 has been set, with only positions to be decided. Imps, Jervois, Ramblers will no doubt be 1 to 3 (not necessarily in that order), & Mypo presumably will play Mannum in Elimination. Seems ridiculous to be discussing finals at this stage i know, but you'd have to think this will be the case.

GWW do you really reckon that imps will be top three at the end of the year?? they were lacking a fair bit in their mannum game and managed to lose by 2 goal from a 6 goal lead (sound familiar??)
i think you are writing both mannum and mypo off a little (but as you say, it is pretty early on to be discussing finals)!

I guess i'm going a bit on previous years but Imps are always up there generally. If they had Shiell and Sayers in the last quarter against Mannum, who knows they may have won by 7 or 8 goals. You do make a good point though, 5 clubs have a great chance for a top 3 position and thats certainly a good thing, with the other 2, Meningie, and Tailem a fair way off the pace.
