no i didnt mean they arent any good blokes... theyre are plenty at bcc and bfc too, there just wasnt any relationship between the senior sides and the junior sides, no juniors went back to the club after games etc. not as good a club atmosphere and im sure even wen lofty were losing, plenty of juniors and seniors got amongst it.

Not to the same extent as the club atmosphere over the last 2 seasons. Still had great times, but there were some nights when not many people came back to the club, especially on away games.

with monty i think it will come down to what is happening with shanty. i'm not sure what is happening with payments to new players. if the club can convince him that everything has changed he will stay. i think he may head down the hill. don't think that hilly will be the one to talk him into it tho. problem is going to a new club has its pressure especially if he gets paid. don't think he will ask for money tho. will have an answer within couple weeks for you indian coz thats when he will no. big loss to shanty if leaves tho!

I hope the CBC boys don't expect too many handballs from Monty. Great player but his next handball will be his first.
Wonder if the CBC have a lawn bowls team? If they do, he would be a shoe-in at the purples.

HFL A grade may be an even competition this year boys with the highly publicised recruiting done by the cellar dwellers. Plenty of optimism and confidence coming out of both shanty and ironbank camps. Surely a good thing for the HFL.

You would expect Onkas to improve with their favourite son taking over the reigns and a much improved showing in 2006-only team to beat the devils and in convincing fashion. Maybe lucky for devils they dodged the doggies in the finals as they seemed to match up well against the cabbage.

Have heard a whisper that a northern-based Country Division side, that has been near the foot of the ladder for a few years now may well be struggling to field senior sides in 2007, with numbers at the 'nest' apparently not great!!

Being a pom, you should have picked up that the logo is the famous cokerel from the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. A cokerel is a fighting bird which the club uses as an emblem going back to its foundation days when cok fighting in England was huge - particularly in northern London. Cokerels were fitted with spurs on their legs and fights lasted to the death! Hence the name Tottenham Hotspur.

And GTS - don't fight the love mate. You know the world game is the superior code. You know deep down it's the greatest game in the world. I know you really want to come out and say you follow the game with passion. It's only a matter of time!!!

Also Paul Nixon, how did you find our footy forum? Good to see you Poms taking an interest in our national game. I would say good luck for the world cup, but I hope you lose! Go you Aussies!

Shanty and Ironbank won't be around the mark. Not in 2007 anyway.

Plus, if you saw the Devils v Onkas game you would know that Mt Lofty had a significant chunk of the side missing that day and played a shocker. Check back through the results to round 1 when the Devils thumped Onkas by 105 points. That was 'convincing fashion', not 36 points.

We would have been quite happy to play Onkas in the finals. We would have taught them a lesson - again.
