Could be some truth to this rumor. Imps was in quarantine mode this week after all of the people who got sick last week. At this time of the year missing one night of training won't make any difference at all. Everyone will be out on the track tonight.

Smart, but if alot of them were sick already, maybe a week too late

A lot were sick already but at least no-one new could get infected if they were no longer around the sick players. Just some precaution was being taken this week.

I wonder if the league in its wisdom ever considered that by pre-determaining finals, things like Imps this week have 3 grades with home finals, & if Ramblers win this week in their grades, could possibly have 4 home finals next week.
The system has been in for 3 years, & we have seen 2 Teams playing in Home GF's & another 5 Home game finals. What was wrong with the old system, where they looked at who was playing and found a good neutral ground. If they are worried about sharing the funds around, allocate things such as Bar & Canteen at years start, not the grounds.

There was nothing wrong with the old System, but certain clubs complained that they were not getting the chance to host finals and make as much money as the other clubs. The current system will lead to things such as Grand Final at Meningie, when it was there 4 years ago it didn't feel like a Grand Final because no-one was there.

What about this idea. Doing up the Showgrounds and making it the home of the RMFL. They could have offices there and then also play all finals there because then it is a neutral oval for everyone. Then just split things such as the canteen BBQ shed etc.

They'd have to spend quite a lot of money to upgrade the Showgrounds though, would the RMFL have that type of money to spend on such a thing?

Does sound like a good idea though.

The RMFL would have plenty of money. Also seeing the Showgrounds is owned by the council I'm sure they would pitch in for a buck or two.

Now that we are deep into finals, has any1 had a chance to listen to opposition coaches. Went to the Game on Sunday & noticed $am hardly did any of the 1/4 or 3/4 time speech at all. Deakon made sense tho!!

What I heard of Cross sounded like solid stuff. It was obvious the players respected him alot. As soon as he started every1 including spectators went quiet.

Fielke has a good message, but is very quiet, I suppose the players hear him & thats what matters. His assistant did the rev-up bit.

Weyland spoke well, but didn't really need to say alot, as they were winning comfortably. So he must have been doing something right

Big day for Imps and Mypo tomorrow. They are facing off in both the A Grade football Prelim and and Imps A Grade Netball have a chance to stop Mypo winning 5 in a row. Lets hope it's a Blue day for Mypo in both sports, plenty for imps to cheer about on their home deck.

Will Imps REALLY want to win the A grade and move into another grand final though, with a strong likelihood of getting beaten by the Chooks and adding YET another grand final loss to the list

What a stupid question. Imps and Ramblers is one of the biggest rivalries seen, if it's an Imps and Ramblers Grand Final it will be the biggest crows the RMFL has ever seen. People have been waiting for an Imps and Ramblers for 21 years and if it eventuates Imps are not just there to make up the numbers. They will have a fir dinkum crack and we have a better chance than than 5 other sides who will not be there. But imps have to get passed this week first before they worry about an Imps and Ramblers GF. Everyone may keep paying out imps for losing Grand Finals but at least they are there, a lot more than any of the other teams in the league can say.

If anyone is interested these are Dalwood's tips in the standard this week:

A Grade - Imps 11-20
B Grade - Ramblers 11-20

John Parmeter has done the juniors and his tips are:

U/17 - Ramblers 1-10
U/15 Ramblers 11-20

So if these are anything to go should be close contests all day.

Well it looks like they may have to wait another 21yrs BB08 ,because its goodbye to imps aswell looks like a new era for the RMFL .RAM, MYPO , might be the ones to beat for a while to come.
