In our day we didnt get paid a cent we did it for the love of the jumper and our mateship.

It will be a sad day if ever that happens in the PLFL. Has the salary cap here been scrapped? I heard no one ever got near the maximum spend anyway.

Barksoff the eagles could crack open a couple of their pocker machines and give him some pensioners gold coins.
Bluestheboy waybacks could just hand him a handbag full of cash. Bostons could give him an ounce. Marble Range could find a couple of spare sheep. Malle Park ???????

There's always ways around the salary cap, as getakick previously alluded to. ;)

I dont think Waybacks have bags of cash as getakick eluded to. Infact I hear the very opposite that they are really struggling.

I think "Handbags of Cash" might have been an overreaction, but I don't believe the Castle on Windsor is under any financial duress.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

At the AGM last year, two clubs (and not the 2 you'd expect) had not paid their affiliation, and didn't until after the event.

So don't bother talking about that in October CU. ;)

The Rudall Sporting Club has been hit hard with the loss of yet another member of the community in yet another car accident last night. It is understood the man who was tragically lost is the father of Rudall footballers Dustin and Rhys Beinke and netballer Tegan Beinke, an Eyre Peninsula representative at junior level before moving to Adelaide for university. The Beinke name is a prominent one on the EP and thoughts are with them and the Rudall community. It's been a horror year on local roads, let's keep this festive season fatality free and drive with utmost care.
There's just been too much heartache to deal with in recent months.

Going to be a long year for the Toddy gang if they couldn't beat that Tasman side.

You would think so, but apparently they had 11 out (i.e. a full side missing).

They only had 10 blokes in the B Grade and still beat us! :(

I don't think Tassies are that bad, good mix of younger talent and experience, it's just a bit hit and miss in the A's.

Paul Bell made 85 in the B Grade, and most days, the 150 they made would be really competitive (Toddies made 176).

I'm not sure how the other sides are lining up, but we will be around the mark.
