Langhorne Creek take on Morphies the Saturday before the season gets underway (April 5th). This weekend we're heading down to Keith for our first trial. Both should be great hit outs.

GSFL doesn't start til 12th of April does it??

Very much looking forward to hearing the result of this trial. It will be a great contest and the Creeks couldnt wish for a better lead in to Round 1 than playing the Emus!

As for Gerty. No respect! Anyone who resorts to cheapshots, spitting and eyegauging should be dealt with by their teammates (i wouldn't want them at my club). What amazed me was the fact the he always got away with it. Anyway, I'll stop living in the past. Good to see others had the same opinion though.

It was interesting to see Burdett named in the centre for South Adelaide in today's SANFL preview in the tiser. Great for him if he makes the league side and great that we dont have to face him down here!!

That would make a few coaches happy to see that.

The challenge of playing Marcus was always good tho, hes a smooth mover and hopefully this time he cracks League footy for good. Quality player and quality bloke! Would be in my top 3 players ive played with at country level for sure!

A hypothetical question for everyone to ponder on. Who would be the top side in the competition if all Great Southern players were available for their clubs? Would Willunga be the top team? Obviously Saints would benefit with Ryan Griffen, but I think Strath would win the flag with the return of many from South, including Elliott and Murphy. Are any players from Willunga at South at present?

Interesting question TC!

Strath would improve a bit with Elliot, Murphy and Daniel Peglar who is a good size and plays tall!

Ben Warren up at the Creeks wouldve made a massive difference, hes a gun!

I think the top sides wouldnt change a whole lot, Willunga have Jacob Crate at South, and a few juniors i believe. 1 being a young Sean Beath and i hope he sticks it out as hes a very good kid with good speed and good skills. At 15 won last years under 17s Medal and is definitely 1 to watch. Needs to grow a bit (but dont we all).

Yes BJ, Crate is a quality lad and can play. What happenend to him last year, as he would have to be knocking on the league door by now with the likes of Turner, Elliott and Murphy. Saw Beath play a bit last year and you are special when you win a senior colts medal in your first year up. Warren would be handy for the Creek, but I forgot about Pegler. That reinforces my view as Strath as my pick!

Willunga would still be the team to beat , to many good players spread over the whloe ground . It would make for a great comp if those guys played.

Cuzzy i've heard Wes has been training at Marion and played in their trial match the other week. But i've also been told he may still end up back at Mallee Park.
