Looks like a great line up. 3 out of those 4 I would suspect to be in with a real chance.

No Brake Blake racing tonight at Angle Park in Race 2. Trained by Myponga ruckman Shaun Laffin. I reckon that this is the dog that is owned by some of the pongy boys.

Who was the big ruckman at Stath 5 yrs before Duffield start playing A grade. He was 100% animal and i have the scars still 15 yrs on.

That was before my time, but didnt they have a bloke similar to that in recent times who rucked with Duffield?

Didn't Strath have a guy called Claude, might have been Claude Hansen??, from Redlegs in River Murray League..

I think the bloke you're talking about is Paul Gerslauter (I think I spelt that wrong) I think they used to call him Gerty.

Yeah there was a guy called Claus Hansen, but he certainly wasnt a big meat-head like you say.

Yeh rucked against him as well but not the guy i was thinking off. earlier then him.

What was it with Strath and their Ruckman.

The only other Strath ruckman i can think of was Simmons (think first name was Peter, like current coach), think he was a Mail Medalist, but i think he retired probably in the late 80's so wouldn't be him.

there was also a bloke called Billy Rowe he was known to play the game outside of the the rules of fair play,Billy also played a bit at CHB.

Very good chance we will be seeing Chris Jurek having a run with victor this season from all reports, he has been told he is not a required player at south so the roo's could be his new club in 08. He is a Goolwa jnr so not sure why he wont play back their maybe $$$?

CHAD PAREDES to return to compass from one year away, very fast small running player and possibly only a 1 point player for them. Anyone know why he has chosen to return?

Good work Limb. Gerty was the Strath player I was thinking about. And well done on the jester getting up. It owes me a bit but the $20 each way soothed some of the pain!

Limb i did indeed. Jus a small wager $10 each way but the payment received got me up on the day!

Musta been happy with the way she ran! Coming down the "hill" on the last turn.

Did u get up there and have a look?

When do you guys play Morphies in ur trial?

Nah couldn't be there unfortunately. I was in the front bar of the Robe Hotel cheering her home though.

Langhorne Creek take on Morphies the Saturday before the season gets underway (April 5th). This weekend we're heading down to Keith for our first trial. Both should be great hit outs.
