Norm11, I have heard that you were offered a coaching job with another team outside the BL&G. Is that true?
I have also been told that someone else has put their hat in the ring for the job so it would only be right to let them have a crack and interview you and the other person to see who is best. True you didn't have the numbers and you did help the club out but the club would be nuts to just give the job to you without seeing what is out there. This sounds like you and Queen Vic are starting a "We hate Barossa club" The thing is people will forget you and what the club has done. At this time we are all looking forward to the finals and to next season.
If I see it I say it.

$2.00 - Peter Vivian - Coming very hard.
$2.45 - Simon Koch - What he doesnt know about the opposition isnt worth knowing, played as Seelanders 2IC for a number of years and would see the Lions as an oppotune club to start his A-Grade coaching career.
$2.80 - Mark Brant - Unlucky to have been axed from the Gawler Central contingency last year, which decided to go in favour of one of there own mini buses.
$4.17 - Rian Nelson - Lions may want to go for a seasoned BL&G coach if he parts company with the pups. Wants to coach again.
$4.20 - Norm11 -Wants out of the Dogs, interested in suiting up for the lions.
$4.50 - Damian Prouse - Another coach on the outer after 2009.
$4.55 - Shane Broad - Will the club go for a younger variaty of coach, has had successfully coached at A-Grade level and may be an appointment with a long term vision.
$6.25 - Matt Hermann - Seems to have his lobists backing from his Gawler Central contingency, although they can be very easily impressed.
$6.50 - Malcolm McGrath - Would the Mesiah be prepared to dust off the coaching board and bring the club back to their glory days.
$7.50 - Darren James - Can talk under water, has spent a little time at CDFC and may be looking to also start coaching senior footy in BL&G.
$19.00 - Ben Burgess - Looking for a chance of returning to a Blue & White variety after an apprenticeship in the APFL.
$25.00 - Jeff Brown - A real roughie, will the Lions try and lure the former coach from his CDFC role.
$30.00 - Kym Vivian - Just because underthepack thinks he can coach.
$80.00 - Luke McCraken - May be a smokey with the current reserves side sitting in the four.
$1050 - Texas Rattlesnake - Appears to go missing when the going gets tough.

I would be paying alot more than $4.20 mate

Ango would be licking there lips at the forecast rain throughout the week. wet weather and heavy tracks make their hack game style ultra effective. spoke to members of both parties on the wk end just gone and each were supremely confident of a win on the wk end. a tough of the head wobble from both parties was more than apparent.

It really doesn't matter now, as Herzick has privately said he will not be reapplying for the job, but some stirrers wanted him removed asap, and threatened to have the committee removed if it didn't happen after the game v Barossa District.
Haven't been able to catch up with any South people to see if its bull or not, but it is fair to say an informal meeting of some members took place.....

Would think Gawler Central A-Grade coach Craig Dawe would be getting nervous about his job for next year, plenty of loyal supporters and sponsors who throw big money into the club are comparing his record to that of last years coach Mark Brant who was sacked after his side finished 3rd (11 wins/5 losses) in 2008, compared to Dawe who has his side in 4th position (8 wins/4 losses).
Everyone in the Barossa and Gawler knows Dawe has a much stronger squad to work with than Brant did last year, yet the club is still no better off.

2008- (under Brant)- Gawler Central 3rd with 11 wins & 5 losses 52.40% 1st Semi final- Win, Prelim- Loss
2009- (under Dawe)- Gawler Central 4th with 11 wins & 5 losses 58.59% 1st Semi final- ????

Will he keep his job? Two things better in 2009- Dawe's team percentage and his squad to work with

A's: Nuri v Tanunda. Ango to get knocked out this week as their old bodies might not hold up in the boggy conditions.
B's: Nuri v Will. Willaston could be a surprise packet.

Very lucky to be playing finals Angaston?, fell in by a mere 4 games, or was it 5?
Lost to only 2 teams all year, had 12 wins out of 16 and have had 3-6 guys out every week.
Congratulations on having such an amazing football mind.
Funny, in the 1 sentence you say too quick and skillful and then mention Burley......
Good bloke Burley, but can honestly say he has never struck even a tiny amount of fear into me.
