SD,
Might be 'stating the obvious' and it has 'been done to death', but it ain't fixed the problem. It won't go away by thrusting your head back in the sand like "old man emu" either!
It's got to be driven by the whole footy population.

I understand that CC. But by the way everyone on here is ranting and raving, your making sound like its a massive issue in the APFL and that it is a consistent problem. Rubbish!! This could not be further from the truth. Yes there is a minority of tools that still resort to it (apparently, from a SINGLE report on this forum), but in my entire playing time i have never heard of such a thing happening. 99.9% of society understand that its unacceptable.

I accept that, i think we still have to work hard on solving the problem with that .1% to convert them for 100%.
Big job but you never know!

donkey. This issue had come up a couple of times each year, But still nothing done! Oh and by the way this sort of thing has been used by some players for years and if you have not herd these coments you must be deaf. The issue is! why is it allowed to go on? Say what you like but leave the racial sh*t out!

Where do you draw the line though? What you're saying is as long as it's not racial, you can pretty much say what you like? I'm not down with that. Bottom line is it comes down to respect. Players need to learn to respect each other and the opposition. Without any of them there wouldn't be a game of footy to play.

The return of Earl for the Magpies will be an important inclusion this week but I think its time the Pies dropped one! Eagles by 5 goal

United's forwards to be too Big for the young pecker defenders and will get up by 5

Virginia to give Phillips a fitting farewell and get up by 11.

Fev to kick 7 and fall one short!

Tips for the week:
Mallala by about 9 goals
United by more than 86 points
Virginia in a close one
Line for West Coast/Geelong game is 72.5 points. Get on West Coast at the line!!!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Mallala by PPPPPLENTY Swamp!

United by 3 goals (if they have all their squad).

Virginia to roll the Bombers and upset all the fairytales.

Buddy to kick 10 and finish on 108 for the regular season.

It would be wrong to assume that it doesn't happen. I believe it is definately been cleaned up over the years just by way of social changes but i think even one proven instance is enough to instigate strong debate & even some form of leadership in the area from the league or clubs. If you heard one of your supporters racialy villify someone & you were captain, would you be prepared to make a stand as suggested by Rooster in an earlier post? Its easy for us to gloss over the issue because it rarely raises its ugly head in our league. Doesn't mean that at some stage it won't & in a big way. I think procedures should be put in place to deal with it. Get on the front foot i say.

Is there something we don't know, i wouldn't have thought Erin's old man was going anywhere, besides the bar at footy park to see his beloved maggies get bundled out of the SANFL finals.

It may be raining this weekend but slap on the sunscreen. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. Maybe Phillips be round next year maybe he won’t, maybe the rams will be better next year, maybe they won’t, maybe Erin will run water at a game against the Eagles, maybe she won’t. But trust me on the sunscreen.

the big tips for the weekend

hummocks to get up over the pies

balak to trounce tigers

hamley to finish on the best note possible

also heard a rumor that young mark dolling may be looking at heading out to magpie land to strengthen the west coast connection? and gun forward/slash defensive stopper/go to man bryce "MUD" Heath to head to ram park next year. if true they will be the genuine big deal.
