2nd of August Round 16
Ardrossan v Bute
Kadina v Moonta
CY Cougars v S Eagles
CMS Crows Mi v Paskeville
Wallaroo v Bye

Bute should account for ardrossan, to stay at top.
Moonta should bounce back and beat kadina to stay third and a game clear of crows.
Eagles should beat cougars to stay in five.
Crows hopefully will beat paskeville to stay 4th but still push for the double chance.

yes bute over ardrossan
kadina at home are playing some great footy and if they get a descent run with umps should beat moonta who have struggled last couple of weeks
eagles even with a host of injuries should beat cougars who have given up and are not even playing for the jumper
crows playing some great footy and at home should start pasky on the downward slide out of the top three!!

Interesting quirk this year - Kadina won and lost to every side.

last round before finals, and top 5 have been decided, last chance for teams to get some form, and others some pride.

16th of August Round 18
Paskeville v Wallaroo
S Eagles Y v Bute
Ardrossan v CMS Crows
CY Cougars v Moonta
Kadina v Bye

2nd place paskeville should have an easy win against the wooden spooners for 2008.
2008 minor premiers bute should account for eagles who have scraped into the finals in 5th spot but would move to 4th with a win and crows loss.
4th placed crows should win against 8th placed ardrossan.
3rd placed moonta should have a win against 7th cougars.

except for some miracles in percentage, next week will be bute being top to have a week off, paskeville v moonta on the sat in qualifying final, and crows v eagles on the sun in the elimination final. With teams being up and down all year, finals could go either way.

Must be getting very close to Pasky developing the finals wobbles, just like every other year. No wonder Neil Harrop's got no hair left!!

Good win over Kadina ... with a 25 goals trun around as we were beaten by them on their home deck round 1 by 8 or 9 goals

Long way to travel just to play B grade

As long as he still gets the cash he probably doesn't care!!

Are you kidding, he gets paid for playing B grade? Known Matt for a long time, can't see him staying if B grade is the best he could do. Has plenty of talent in a lot of sports, unfortunately no brains or guidance from those that should be. A spoilt little brat that thinks he's better than most!!

I see he played A grade last week, how many A games has he played and what's his form been like?

Is this Matt Travis ex Gepps and Ingle Farm? Played with and against him at club and rep level, good footballer. Who's he playing for and why is he playing twos?

It is, playing at Southern Eagles. Reasonable footballer but not as good as he thinks he is, that's why he's mainly played B grade in that league. Could have played much higher at Gepps Cross if only----------------in both footy and cricket

Southern Eagles over CMS yesterday by about 7-8 goals I'm told.

Makes Bute v Moonta in the 2nd Semi and Paskeville v Eagles in the 1st Semi next week, is that right?

yeah, eagles obviously wanted the win more than us on sunday.
we were up 6 goal to 2 goal ten min into the second quarter, then eagles kicked the next 9 goals.
we fought back to gain a bit of respect in the last, to only lose by bout 5 goals.
well done to southern eagles, too good on the day.
yeah 2 good games this week, i reckon moonta to get bute in a close one, and paskeville to beat eagles by bout 5 goal.

well... well... the eagles boys are up and flying!! Matty Travis has hit his straps in the A grade now just too keep u guys updated and playing very very good footy. unlucky not to get higher up in the best players in the last 2 finals games..The eagles had not beaten any of the teams they beat in the finals in the lead up to the GF... and have beaten moonta this year... should be an interesting game this weekend at Kadina. Tips everyone? will you go for the fancied Paul Lindsays?? or the underdog?? I know who wallaroo supporters will be going for... hehe

i'd like to see eagles win, simply cause then we could say we lost to the premiers lol.
But then have they played there grand final footy already?
Reckon its going to be a good game, it'll just come down to who makes the most mistakes.
I reckon moonta will win in a close one.
