Start, interested in your opinion on why you think this team is light on. Agree wholeheartedly about your comments on Ciccy been good for a couple of years now across 1/2 back but execeptionally good this year.

He was quiet vs mallala on sat, and dont reckon he has lost too much weight. If he wasnt so set on walking around with his chest pushed out he may have had an influence on the game. 8)

Whitty is turning 24 this year, absolute trooper!!

Can not believe for the life off me why daniel feeley is not in the team, i am absolutely amazed at this. As a small forward playin on the footy too, and still managing close to 20 goals for the year is a huge effort. Im disgusted at the selectors for missing him, are they picking the team on form or what??

Phone calls and talk??? Don't think so! Have you seen the haven side lately. Don't necessarily need them. They're just top blokes whose black and white blood will lead em home. Can't imagine they're enjoying getting flogged every week

Pretty sure there will be a few changes through injury and such! So Feeley may make his way in yet.

Bit harsh on Frase! He probably had a quiet one on the weekend but when you consider the fact that there was some quality ball winners in the middle for both teams, pretty hard to get a kick.
Scotty Frase has shown a fair bit this year and is still finding his feet in the comp as well as the Roosters midfield, as time goes by will be very handy.

As long as he can ease up on the Torp's

Not sure what your getting at there Rooster, but i doesnt paint a good picture about Fraser. Quality players in the middle should make it easier for qulaity forwards. He maybe a great player, i dont know, i thought two wells needed someone like him to stand up on sat as the game was in the balance for 3 and half quarters.
Be good to see what he dishes up in the assoc game as he will playin with and against quality players all over the ground, not just in the middle. He does look a natural talent!

you mis-understand Swampy, when i say there's too many good midfielders it's like too many hands in the cookie jar, couldn't get cookie. (I like Cookie's)

He often rest's across half forward and slotted a lazy 4 goals against virginia the week prior. but generally starts in the middle.

Sure,, apart from Andy Evans and Broady the side lacks any real strength around the contest, which at this time of year you need. I would doudt whether Broady will play. The Rucks in Whiskey and Lowie look top shelf, but the on ballers which are named are all very good runners, but could get found out!

Does anyone know who they are playing??

Surely your kidding there Start. Toughness around the footy! The presence of whisky and the trio from mallala is enough to make anyone shiver. Imagine the year these young pies would be having with an effective clean tap ruckman. Real strength is not always everything, i think this year has shown that as broady has had very little impact in this comp. The footy is won in tight with quick decisive hands under pressure, not bloody hargy bargy rubbish, especially when the quality of opposition increases as it will. Toughness is all about head over the footy one grabbing it and hittin a team mate with it.
The team will however really miss joel wilson, he was and stillis the best at that, clean and hard at the footy. Great to watch!!

Has anyone else heard enough about North Haven? They are not in our competition and quite honestly would struggle to beat Virginia anyway. I admire the rams for taking a step to be a better club and building a side takes time so lets just hope they can retain players next year and have a real crack. The league needs 7 strong teams.
A common theme also seems to be that this is a footy forum so lets talk footy yet within 2 posts we are back to reading crap again, more often than not in a language i can not understand. If you are going to get abusive, atleast spell the words right!!
It's good to see United and Mallala flying this year. Although it is not good my beloved Hummocks have lost 2 out of there last 3, i'm sure you would agree it adds more excitement to the league knowing the premiership is up for grabs for about 5 clubs. As a player it almost became boring week in week out knowing what the outcome of your game was going to be.
