there is alot of very good players going around in the mfl would think koster might have his handsfull! on the other note all clubs in the mfl have picked up alot of great players, saying that all clubs very even across the board inc bdt.

Certainly seems to be a lot of movement into the Mallee this year, the window may have closed for BDT. They dont appear to have picked up anyone of note. Murrayville, Peake and Karoonda will definitely be stronger.

i saw koster play at SHOC's was well off the pace, looked like he was running with one leg 300mm shorter than the other, i think he will struggle on the bigger mallee oval, may possibly go alright when playing peake at peake

the guy is an afl premiership player he may be abit older and slower but will still be a huge pick for the roos he has one thing i know alot of players dont have and thats a footy brain.

I think its a huge shot in the arm for the comp to be in a healthy position as it is right now when you look at the draw each week picking a winner isnt as easy as years gone by and in my veiw thats better for all concerned...... just my thoughts

i mean a smaller oval will suit him, mind u if he does play midfield i dont think he will have to pace to keep up and run with the likes of the richardson boys, muffy and the likes

Agree wholeheartedly with you carey on your point re footy brain. A warning to their opposition - do not underestimate his value to the club. His teammates around him will grow a leg and be better players with him in the side. He may not be the matchwinner himself but he will certainly get the footy and dish it out. I would think every other club would rather him in their side than against him

As i said - no one of note. 2 blokes that have played there before without impressing and another who played C grade in SAAFL last year.

By noone of note I assume you mean ex league, B&F recipient, assoc. player etc., in which case your point is taken. However if the runner-up from last year recruits 3 players who will all play A grade, and loses nobody, then that means 3 players from last year will play B grade whcih logically says they should be stronger. If their opposition from last years' GF loses players of note and does not replace them with similar quality, then that should make them weaker. This is in the ideal world of course and assumes no injuries etc.
Those 2 clubs were clearly the best in the league last year.
Where you are right is that other clubs have recruited some notable players, but they needed to to be competitive with the Lameroo and BDT of last year and the BDT of 2010.
This should ensure the league is much more even this year as pointed out
