What's the feeling from the other Mid-murray Clubs being deserted by Robertstown?

Rubbish!

Mallala are the best on their day and did enough yesterday, they will account for United and Balak, HWE Vs Mallala at the big dance for mine!

Medal tip would be 1) Shimmin -had a good year. 2) Southo - Too many mont's taking votes 3) Young - has been outstanding have they won enough games and 4) Allmond - a standout even in some defeats.

Food for thought - wolf it down. :D

yeah not too far away i wouldn't think, my top four and in no real order would be Levi, Allmond, Seccafien, Barnesy. (Darky Catford) all have had great years. obviously there are guys from Mallala but i reckon they will steal from each other too much. i reckon the leader from every club at the count will be

Mallala - L.Whitwell
Balak - J.Levi
Hummocks - D.Barnes
United- B.Sharman
Two Wells- L.Allmond
Virginia- G.Rigney
Hamley- L.Wilson/T.Smith will probably tie.

Rooster diehards would pretty impressed with what they saw on Sat from their younger brigade. While it was prob the most disappointing game the pies have played for a while, the main reason was the enthusiasm and tackle pressure around the footy by TW. Unfortunaltey their skills let them down, but I think future is looking good with for TW. They all seem to be playing for their coach, which is a great sign (must be the black trench coat) :D

Can anyone confirm the rumour regarding S. Schulz's absence from the United A-grade on saturday? Stories circulating are claiming that he was on a port induced bender on thursday night & after making a mess at the club & then in his car, was unable to front for the dead rubber against the Rams?
One day original John Palmer will be found & the truth will be known.

I think M.Young may get a few votes too.

Looking forward to a few beers with those Virginia boys saturday after the game, it has been a tough year!

would have to agree,to many good mallala players for one winner, and they seem to change them off the bench a far often so sometimes not alot of play time, whers the likes of blackett, cawrse, hardie.and the big man in footy earl, seems to do more coaching than playing of late, and united seem to be missing a few too, schultz, graham, vanaberg

Confirmed. Broady wasn't happy as he had to bring up a Senior Colt player at the last minute due to his late withdrawal. Apparently he slept in until well past 4pm.

Yeah I heard about that, what a disgrace! (fair effort knocking off 2 litres of port though :vom: ) Probably the best thing for the tigers to get rid of that guy he's useless anyway. They don't really need him now that Truss is back firing, I heard the great man jagged a couple goals on Saturday and took a hanger that will be talked about for years to come! (by Truss anyway)

The last round looks to be a cracker, the top 4 play each other with the double chance still up for grabs.

Balaklava vs United : Peckers win and they keep 2nd spot, have been in great form and virtually injury free, Tigers always play well against the Peckers home or away but with a long injury list won't be able to match Balak's forward line. Balaklava by 6 goals at home.

Mallala vs HW Eagles : The Pies at home will show why they are the top side and end the Eagles chance for second spot they gave up to the Peckers over the bye. While the Eagles are an experienced line up last years premiers will be raring to go for back to back flags and will start their campaign off this week. Mallala by 4 goals.

Yea it was a good way to finish off an otherwise disappointing year. Plenty there to get excited about - I reckon there were 17 A graders playing who came through the TW junior program. With a year under their belt they should be back next year with that bit more experience required to play the higher level for the whole season - not the half of this year.

The only hanger I've ever seen Truss take is when he forgot to take it out of his jumper before the game. Funny sight that.
