Robertstown move is very good move for the future of APFL, as they do need to rid of some byes.

However i don't think that this move will enhance the leages of standard of footy, i hope i'm wrong. The Blyth Snowtown move to APFL suggested many years back should gone through, hine sight is a great thing.

Swamp, that is a very insightful point suggesting that the SANFL may have a greater plans than just Robertstown joining APFL, rather a possible merger in a few years down the track.

the junior footy this yr has been awful with parnets abusing players, water runners having go at players, players beening hit behind play, with nearly no control from umpires,to allow another team in we need to clean up ur act first, have adults do boundry first of all,and have a apfl officall see a junior game before finals would be a change, they dont show any interest in the junior program, didnt see one high offical at any of the junior carnivels, how does that look to other leagues

Robertstown, yes they will struggle for a year or two (or three or four), especially against the Big 4, but they will be great for the Association, creating interest in the APFL which appears otherwise to be loosing its zest. Bad board, bad umpires, bad junior mercy rule, too many byes.... the complaints on here keep coming. If it does happen I cant wait to make the road trip up to (or across to) Robbie to play someone new, flogging or not. And why more than one team in this state would want to wear those terrible colours is beyond me

R/town maybe in maybe not and the debate if rife, YES good for the league, new kid on the block. But the bigger issues at hand, (U17s mercy rule) Sorry to bring that up! JUST TO STUPID FOR WORDS, That brings up bad management/league directors(worried about their own appearances, new jacket? new jumper? new polo shirt? new cap?) Which brings up the woeful umpiring standards of late. GET some sports psychologist to explain to the blokes in white! That if you (umpire) are so enthralled buy comments that come from over the fence you are OBVIOUSLY  not concentrating on the job at hand, Which is to implement the rules of the game! on an oval, inside the fence. Also, SANFL? Must be the biggest joke out! A PLAYER RECIEVED 10 WEEK SUSPENSION, HE APPEALED -(did the 10) - THE SANFL TOOK ELEVEN WEEKS TO HEAR THE APPEAL, THE PLAYER WAS RUBBED OUT FOR ANOTHER SEASON BECAUSE HE APPEALED. Could you take these people seriously? I would not recommend it.

dont worrie the finals r coming then the big fellas that run the league will turn up to see footy in this league, sober we r not sure but they will be there to see the a grade anyway,if they where early to the 2nd semi last yr they would have seen other club people getting a ground ready for action even if it wasnt there ground,if a club cant get ready after all the notice they get they shouldnt have a final

G. Wilmer is a good hard running player & has been for many years. Not sure if i would put him in the greats catagory. His kicking is his let down. I'd rate Roley McClean a better older player from Balak.

Couldnt agree more with you cfm. They are looking the goods, and rarely have a bad game against the top sides. Will be hard to beat in Sept, especially with the great man, Grant Wilmer patrolling the back half.

United have sent their own SOS to M.Trussell. Word is the 'old legend' is dusting off his boots again and might even qualify for the finals. The Tigers will need Truss to have a big one. No pressure, but he'll have to kick at least 5 for United to get over the line.

Not so sure that Truss can qualify though Droppie. I heard that the committee at their meeting during the week were discussing ways to increase the gate takings for their last home match against Virginia. An urgent call to the coach was made insisting that Truss be selected this week purely to increase gate takings. Makes sense to me!

Even heard they've hired a cameraman for such a big occasion.

It would make sense. Truss would drag at least 2 maybe 3 extra people through the gate.

Yeah, but that extra $15 takings those extra people pay at the gate will be needed to pay for all his broken glasses from about 10pm onwards.

Balak by 3 goals (hamely have played them well this year)
Mallala by 10 goals (an easy 10 goals)
United by 7 goals ( i think will be close all game and the tig to kick away in the last qtr)

i wouldn't be getting to checky about hummocks just yet, good teams rise for finals and hummocks have proved that they know how to play finals footy.
