For a 1st hitout there were some positive signs for us with some of the younger kids playing some good, solid footy!

For both teams first hit out in those conditions i was quite surprised with the speed and intensity both teams played at. It was like you were playing 4 points. I did notice Carnaz and yourself come on during the third. A planned move ? Great signs 4 the Dees this season and the coming seasons. Magoo looks ready 4 a big year!

Was planned, well after Thursday night it was planned as his hammy was feelin good and my knee was better than expected. Jus a half to get some run in the legs and get some idea of what work needs to be done and how we would both pull up.

Magoo has had a couple of really good years lately!! Versatile and a booming kick with great hands. An underrated player if you ask me and definitely one of our most important players.

Anyone hear A. Martin from strath is a bit disenchanted with his footy at the moment, especially after playing the semi last year in the B's! He's still training there but also has the feelers out with a couple of other clubs! I can see where hes comming from from at one stage league footballer to B grade in the GSFL is a fair fall from grace!!! He may be looking to join his brother-in-law to try to get a much craved premiership.

Silky over the past few years has struggled with commitment, motivation and then due to these two factors fitness. Maybe a change in club would be the best thing for him, he has had to deal with alot off the field over recent years. Anyone that knows him will tell you when he is switched on he will tear a game apart and should have gone further with his league footy, the name silky comes from the way he moves on the field and his disposal is always exelent. I for one hope to see him play again at 100% because it really is good football to watch when "spud" turns it on.

One would hope not, as he is a real character in the GSFL and we see at AFL level how the characters are getting ran out of the game. May be it is the points system that has knocked Bassani around, as quite a few are leaving already and it will take more than 11 points to get them replaced. Bays and Creek are the big losers so far with the outs before the season has started. How do the Creek replace King?

bassani getting the flick doubt it, seems the club are happy with his latest recruits, watch our for the bays just because they are not posting who they pick up or they are not on the gsfl site as of yet, i think you will find they are keeping their cards close to their chest.

Wes was at training on thursday night, looked good and bonded with all the boys very well my source has told me

Thats crazy talk about Bas getting the sack, I cant imagine a club sacking a coach 4 weeks out from the start of the season.
How do Creeks replace King? Ben Warren was their best hope but that fell through, I dont think they need to focus on replacing him too much this season as last season when he broke his arm against the saints he missed the last 6 games and the creek played all the top 4 sides with out him and still won. If anything they would be looking more for a ruckman, it just means one or two other players will be given the job as a key forward and we all know Tim Follet is more than capable of doing it.

The creeks have plenty of depth up forward so losing King shouldn't be a major problem for them. Just gives more opportunity to ther guys like McLeod and McDonald. Both can play and might thrive on more responsibility. Will be interesting to see if they step up and help out Tim Follett.

They are both handy above there heads and can play that tall position. Puzzled me as to how Mcdonald played so much 2s footy last year he is a very good player!!

The Creeks can cover these losses with so much depth in there 2s. A couple of younger fellas moving into the midfield from the flanks with guys like Hill, Tonkin and co to play a larger midfield role i cant see the creeks dropping too far at all if at all.

A ruckman? Do you mean to back up James or has he left as well???

That would be to back up James surely? I reckon he is more important to the creek than King ever was - in as much as they have players to cover King but not to cover Matt James.

I believe there is still some chance of Brodie Howard heading to the creek, to challange the Willunga rucks as he has done in the past!!! He is not worth may points either!!

All this talk on the creeks, leaves their B's weakend any opens the door for another Demons flag in the 2's

Weren't you denying the Howard / Creek connection on the KI thread a few weeks back Eagle?? It seems you might have heard something recently.....

.....and now maybe the D B's might be your best chance of four in a row????
