Interesting news...
Is anybody aware of who they are looking at???
I thought Greenwood turned them down last year, and apparently they met with at least 2 other "players"...
Are they just looking for a way to add to their playing list without having to get another import???
What were their issues with Milligan, seemed to be getting some ok results lately...

The slightly less round Turrell will surely be the guy next year at Kapunda,
Don't think he will drag too many guys to the club though.
As for you Pinchy, clearly you have never worked with the elderly as Haddsy is at Ango,
Resting the aged and weary is a worthwhile past-time for a successful finals tilt, and the best
thing about the older blokes come finals time is they know exactly what's at stake and experience becomes very
valuable. Happy for you to write us off, will make the pie all the more sweeter.
Mmmmmmmm, Finals.

Milligan addressed the players immediately after training and informed them that he would not be going on next year. The decision was entirely Milligan's and not that of the club. Milligan stated that he didn't feel as though he was the right person to coach a club like Kapunda where it is sometimes difficult to get a large amount of senior players to training on Tuesday nights. He also said that he had made the decision as far back as a month ago.

Yes i agree with you stew Ango does have a lot of blokes on a football pension.
Its the old adage of 'the mind keeps writing cheques the body can't cash' that springs to mind here.
Correct me if i'm wrong but ango only just had a bye and then had a walk in the park last week but your recommending more rest.
Surely form will play some part in selection or has the side already picked for the first final?

Thats a shame for the bombers back to the drawing board.

So currently 2 jobs up for grabs, South & Kapunda.

Any insiders tips on the direction these clubs will take?

Nelson might be the right man for the bombers if he hasn't already been snapped up.

think the problems milligan faced ran deeper than that dizzee. believe he had the same problems as prouse had last year. the committee there like to run things and have the final say, the even put one of their committee men on the selection panel and the coach has no say as to who that is. bit of a circus up there with greg "the goose" mickan, the ryans etc etc, no doubt kapunda are headed back to the old days and will be 30 years until their next premiership
no coach in their right mind would want to go there given there treatment of the last 2 coaches.

Days of our lives - i think you might find that a committee person has been on the selection team at Kapunda for a long time - even during 2004/05. Kapunda was very happy with Milligan but he decided to not seek re-appointment. I hear that his reasons also included some work issues.
I did also hear a fresh rumor today that Turrell would not be back until they open a third bakery in the town.

With the run of injuries Ango has had this year, a month of byes would be handy,
Still players to come back, and a couple came up a touch lame after Barossa,
Err on the side of caution this week, Kapunda will be a good warm up next saturday as they
have improved a bit since first time round.
Would be interesting to hear Barossa followers take on Ango's first half last week,
From where I stood it looked like a side that could do a lot of damage in the next 5 weeks.
Made a side that still has some talent look very ordinary.
And, once more for any Willaston people out there......Mmmmmm, Finals.

Spot on Blue Sky. Under 17's coach and one of Milligan's assistants Kym Hillard, who came with him from Norwood, is a chance to stick around despite Milligan leaving. Very much dependant on work however.

I can tell you right now that Rian Nelson will not coach Kapunda. Ever.

stew the donny's aren't worried about the spring carnival this year, for the same reason many trainers didn't worry about preparing their horses for the melbourne cup in 2006 when makybe diva was going for back to back its a 1 horse race.

Big call for a Willaston supporter to be calling another club a circus! LOL
You are nowhere near it daysy. My man at Kapunda says Dizzee and Blue Sky are right. Milligan addressed the players and said he may not be the right fit for a country footy club. It was his decision.
Maybe the committee needs to take more control at Willaston - give Seelander some better sideline support

If Tanunda are Makybe Diva, and we are doing horse analogies now then Matthew Doecke
is interested in a part-ownership of Willaston.
Will fit nicely in with his stable of fine, fine thoroughbreds.

Sorry kids, I’ve been in hiding, had Obama and the CIA up my ass the last few days.
Apparently Pinch Hitter wanted some reward money for my arrest so that he could pay the Gawler Council their lease.
Look forward to having a Donnybrook tinnie with a steak sandwiches tomorrow, while also watching Nobby inhale a sanger in the blink of an eye.
Will Seelander pull a rabbit from his nose, with some match-ups.
Maybe Nottle on the 'B-Train'
Key Match-ups:
Hadden v Seelander
Ebertardt v Koch
Hearnden v Morgan

Tanunda - Lubke. Took a long time to resign for 2009. Rumour has it some players want him gone. 80/20%
Nuri - Stafford. Would be the favouite for supercoach of the year. 95/5%
Angaston - Hadden, has a mortgage on the job from committe. Natural progression from 2008. 100%
Central - Team on par with 2008, was the change of coach benificial. Hear that Slade may come back to coach in 2010. 60/40%
Willaston - Seelander, signed. Would want to take the side another step after no progression in 2009. Had a good look at what he needs for a tilt in 2010 .
Barossa - James. Done
South Gawler - Vacant
Kapunda - Vacant
Freeling - Would assume that Prouse would be reappointed as the club is tanking for assualt on 2010. 60/40%
Been to the top of the mountain - 1908, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1920, 1925, 1926, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1945, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1977, 1986, 2003, 2013
