Heard that Michael Cameron and stephen Hann may be starters for Blackwood. I think they were both at Edwardstown in the amateurs??

BBC:
Not sure about the kids names at Loby, Im a little older than most people playing footy so Im out of the loop. They have some kids that will improve with time. I think there coach got the best out of them and they will improve with lots of games under there belt.

Ron, if you know Buzz really well then ask him about his meeting this week.

Loby has a few reasonable young kids, certainly nothing that is going to take them up the ladder. Lobbies 17's haven't been a decent side for years and dou'd expect them to have a had a few good years if there were players coming up to the seniors and expecting to make an impact. Poor old loby isn't producing the talent they once did and will struggle for many years to come unless they start recruiting gun young players like Lofty have. The new guys there have immersed themselves in the club b/c they're enjoying what it has to offer, not blokes that are simply playing for cash a couldn't give a toss abou the club.

Who is Buzz Jnr?

Birdwood won't win a game, probably won't get within in 10 goals of anyone!

Spot on with everything you said there chamese!

Anyone who watched some U17's in '06 would know that Blackwood, Mt Lofty, Ironbank and to a lesser extent, Mt Barker have some good juniors coming through. All the other teams were a LONG way behind. With the off field issues at Blackwood and Mt Barker, it's probably reasonable to expect only the Devils and Thunderers to see juniors coming through and making an impact.

I'd have to say most reasonable juniors would probably make an impact at Ironbank if promoted to the A's straight out of the Under 10's!!!

No Wonder Elephant, you are the idiot here, if you read my comment carefully you'd realise I never had a crack at the Ironbank juniors, I was infact implying that your seniors are VERY ordinary!!!

this WILL be us in the next few years .

No it certainly will not, keep on dreaming buddy!

Ironabank will never ever win a Div 1 A grade flag!

I can't see Ironbank winning an A1 flag at this stage. That said, they are probably in a better position than we were 3 years ago and look what an injection of a few good players did for us. I wouldn't write them off if they can pull together say 3 or 4 young SANFL reserves level players. The only thing I think that will hold them back is the facilities.

Still, a Devils v Thunderers GF would be pretty sweet. There would be plenty of biff and sledging going on I'd imagine!

yes rapper buzz at training. buzz had alot of interest from other clubs but something/someone has made him change his mind! lets just say that lofty have some good talkers. he has not signed yet with lofty even after the meeting. talking with him last nit he is keen on a year with them as he feels he owes them for his jnrs. a week ago lofty was out of the equation but alot has changed since. being he is a local no money at lofty for him but could there be other possible incentives perhaps
so rapper u involved with the commitee at lofty?

Never right off Ironbank.

You've got to be kidding me right! What have Ironbank ever done for one to think they were any chance of winning a handful of games, least of a all a premiership.

3 years back Lofty were getting punished yes, but they did have some quality players, just not enough. They've always had good juniors, but most importantly they have a history. If it were not for past players and supporters getting behind the club, the whole place would have fallen in a hole a few years back, thankfully, for the sake of the comp they haven't as they have a fair bit to offer. To add to this they have great facilities bar the slope of the oval, and there's a good vibe to the place, something I don't get the feeling is around Ironbank. All Ironbank can be proud of is the fact that they had a 100 goal a year forward playing for them who wasn't even that good but then even he upped and left anyway..even yound Devils Advocate has given him a bath on a number of occasions i believe.

You've also got to look at the size of area's they are based in, Mt lofty gets the better part of Crafers, Stirling, Aldgate and Heathfield...what does Ironabank get? Where are they going to generate the $$$ from to pay the players you need to if you're going to challenge the lieks of Barker, Lofty and Blackwood? You do need good juniors, but in this day and age your not going to win a flag with out buying players...Loby were the last club in '02 to do it, but I don't forsee it happening again the way things are going.

Interesting....I wouldn't say he got a bath, but play on - advantage!

Unless you are talking about the first night game at Heathfield when the big fella did get a bath - of abuse from the sidelines after belting Leith and being sent off!

And young? play on again!

Just out of interest, which club are you affiliated with LTSO?

Imagine fronting out to watch Kersbrook this season and seeing B. James, R. James, P. James, S. Dew and J. Francou trotting around. Whispers are that is could well happen. Gee, with those on board, the Brookers would give a few Central teams a shake!

obviously u no coco very well. he is a very good talker. jnr buzz was never going to play with the dev but coco had a good talk along with his dad and after he spent some time with the lofty boys he decided that maybe a year at lofty could be good.
i myself am involved with shanty but not playing this yeard due to work and a little trip oseas.
jnr buzz has not signed but will most probably by end of week.
lofty are looking stronger and stronger by the day.
i don't expect jnr buzz to dominate but he woulld be a very handy player to pick up. adds a bit more height and pace to an already strong side

Where u going ronnie? I'm moving to the UK in May. I plan to go to the AFL display game, get cut and join in wearing the Devils jumper. You could wear your Raiders jumper and we could have some fisticuffs. That would win almost Footy Legends for sure!!! you'd have to go easy on me though - I'm soft as butter!

lil buzz would have to be the fittest bloke at Lofty too. That bastard could outrun Steve Canospagetti!

dare say jnr buzz would run rings around anyone who tried. the scariest thing is he has not been doing much running lately and thinks he can get even fitter with a bit more training! than again the small ovals in the hills may restrict him but he should still do allright!
