I need to get something off my chest, and with the number of "movers and shakers" that read this site, without posting, I feel this is an appropriate place to say it...

I have been approached about possibly taking on a role within the PLFL administration beginning in 2011, one role being the President, which will become openly available at the AGM, with the resignation of Don Smith effective as of that date.

This was something that I seriously considered, and was very keen, even as recently as this morning, discussing the matter with relevant decision makers...

I thought, if I want to make a change, and help the basketcase that is football in this town, I cannot be in a junior football position, as they are a second string thought amongst our football community.

That changed this morning.

I realised, as I saw a twelve year old child distraught, and in tears, in response to a disgraceful and essentially wrong decision by a senior panel umpire, that the only thing I am truly passionate about in this football community is junior football.

To follow on from that, I proved throughout 2009, and the first half of 2010, that a member of the Junior Executive cannot make change, so for those who I know are interested, I have no desire to, and will not consider, a role with the PLFL executive.

Cheers.
