lets look at this one, a player kicks a player to try and trip him, gets sent off with a 50m penalty, and no report. That player is later sent off again (not sure why the umpire picked him up for swearing though, thought the scuffle he was in at the time should have been a better reason, if this was the one you were talking about?), still no report.

A player has a shot at goal, ball passes 3/4 post high, 1m to left of goal post (point), goal umpire signals goal. luckily in the words of the field umpire commonsense prevailed the goal umpire was over ruled and a point was awarded.

surely not!!

i thought only Virginia received the bad umpiring calls

Was a good game on Saturday at Water Tower Park. Was a great spectacle for the crowd especially in the first half with 16 goals kicked in the first quarter. Pity about the weather in the last quarter cause until then was an old-fashioned shootout. Good to see the Tigers able to kick 21 goals for the match in a forward line that didn't have Willy and Schubert.

Not sure how things are going at Rooster land but when some of the players are heard bagging their own teammates its not a good sign. Hopefully they can pull their heads in and give Hummocks a good shake this week.

Four out of Four. Doesn't happen to me very often so I thought I would brag about it.

United will be the big movers over the next few weeks. Starting to filter quality players back in, they will be very fresh come finals time and should become a genuine contender. I seem to recall several TW and Virg posters ripping into the Tigers earlier in the season about thier early season poor form and apparent club fallouts. Should never kick a successful club when they're down, it'll end up taking a fair chunk out of your arse. Hopefully now the Roosters realise that the season is not all about being on top of the ladder for the first 6 weeks of the year, or this time of year either for that matter. Come finals time she's all even stevens again whether your top or 4th, and its the team that is hitting top gear in the last three weeks of the year
that will take the roses! Pretty exciting times ahead with five teams that are each capable of beating each other on their given day!

No need to be talking us up Donkey. We have only won 1 game out of the last 3 so I don't think anyone should be getting too carried away just yet. I do like the Magpies form at the moment winning 10 on the trot. Definate favourites at the moment with a couple players still to come back in.

How did your coaching go on Saturday Donkey? There wouldnt be too many people around with a 100% record like yourself! :D

When is Muckhole taking his show on the road? I saw he got 2nd best on the weekend. Can't be too many games left before finals, why doesn't he just hang around?

He's gone mate, that was Smokin Joe Wilson. (no L). When your moving interstate I guess waiting 2 months for the end of the season isnt on the cards.

countryfooty.com.au got it wrong, they had it down as Joel.

Looks like young Joe will be Joel's replacement. Is he working on putting on an extra 30kg and some dreads?

My money says Joel will be back for preliminary final (if they need it) and definately the GF. Joel would have to be silly not to come back for that weekend and I cant see a reason why he wont.

heard that joel wilson is going to play with club over near shepparton for the rest of the season. when you move interstate club transfers can occur after the june 30th dead line. i think it will also hold him well for next season if he stays and plays in the same competition.

think it will be good for him to have bit of change, just watching his demeanor in a couple of games looks like he is need of a change

well that just my opinion

And speaking of umpires - were we not ..... how does one D. Searle get a game involving United at any grade - fair dinkum the guy just has not the right demeanour/attitude to be a fair and equitable umpire. Evidenced again by the decisions made in U17s. Give it up mate.

he aint the first person to have an association with a club.
(nor will he be the last)
i believe there was a Seccafien umpire at one stage - who was about as bad as it got when you come to bias. (and he got a gig in the As!!!!!!)

sure we could think of plenty of other examples.

The supposed ATTEMPTED trip was a reflex movement to try and trap the ball and not let it go passed him! NO contact was made! Also was he scuffling with HIMSELF? This is what i mean. Apply the rules/reports to whom breaks them no matter what team. As for goal umpires, there was a incerdent with a goal umpire from our club being report for refusing to wave the flags, not by the central umpire! but by the united f c. He recived 10 week suspension. So we have a problem getting ANY goal umpires now.

APFL umpires are a joke! I have to agree with too good here. The balak united game last week was a disgrace .Continuous inconsistency and too much whistle blowing. We need some fresh blood.

Are you suggesting that Doug favours United! If so you are kidding yourself! Trust me, Doug has lost numerous games for United has i'm sure he has done for other clubs. Put saturdays game down to just plain crap umpiring that could've gone either way cos he definately does not favour United.
