Have heard that South Augusta have signed up young lad Matthew Trezciak. HE has been playing in the SAAFL for division 7 team davoren park where he has polled well in there B & F. He is a lead up forward and will replace Scotty Feltus in more ways then one.

Considering there is no team in the SAAFL called Davoren Park and Division 7 standard is about as good as B'Grade country football then it sounds like South have a good recruit there.

I think you will find that this is a little tongue in cheek in response to Ruffles playing with Sollies....

Very handy footballer is Joe.

I visited my girlfriends father who is a Central suporter and went and had a drink at the club and was suprised to see that Joe played in the premiership before last. I used to work with him and play against him and before the 2 knee recons could seriously play.

How does he stack up againt the other SGL players?

ps, the club looked very family friendly and had a good set up with the TAB etc bit different to the clubs down here

Good player. Tough as. On the Hills Country forum it says he is going to Birdwood with that other copper from Centrals a couple of years ago.

Cella Dwella, I can confirm Joe Quigley has signed together with Gerrard Kenny to play with Centrals next year. With regard to the other "Copper" his name was Sean Dawson, not sure where he is playing ATM but heard he had a quiet season last year

That's a good pick up for Centrals, and the SGL. They both back because of work or just happy to come back?
I don't think Kenny played against us in any game beside the GF last year and played well too.

Heard that Ruffles has signed with B.M.W.

They are both just happy to come back and play, still be living in Adelaide. You're on the ball with Ruffles, he is heading over to play under his good mate Redden for a year or so.

Has Sean Dawson signed with Centrals BnT? he would be another handy pick up. Played at Tea Tree Gully last season

S.G.L

Postby bays » Thu Dec 02, 2010 12:30 pm

wots the go with central augusta recruiting all theses out of town players? Do they come for the love of the club and its great atmosphere at club after the game!! OR higher match payments and over the top sign on fees? I was under the impression the S.G.L. had a salery cap? I realise some do return for the right reasons in and around all clubs there are a lot tho who are only after one thing and thats pineapples

Well Quigley and Dawson are cops and Quigley has played at Centrals before so that would be one connection. Club seemed to have a good atmosphere when i was their before finals last season.

Also being a successful club on the field can entice players to your club!

Joe Quigley played for Centrals in 2009 and only left to go to Adelaide because of family reasons, Sean Dawson also played for Centrals while living in Pt Augusta, but as far as i'm aware he isn't returning to Centrals to play. With regard to Gerrard Kenny, he played last year and is going to play again this year, so Centrals aren't "recruting all these out of town players" just some past players returning to a great family club with fantastic atmosphere after the game.

Didnt Kenny play with another S.G.L. side the year before!! hav heard that club couldnt match the money being offered by centrals.Just to mention one.3rd reason ruffles leaving is the not so good atomsphere at club mainly between players but that would hav stopped once they started winning a few games, and by that stage he would hav been a non payed player in the magoos S.G.L dont need him let him go to the northern areas he will end up hating the coach over there like he has every other coach
