He should definitely be on the list. Top 3 for sure. Josh Netschitowsky was another early 2000's who was a gun

I’d have Hourigan pretty clearly number 1 from the 30 years I’ve been watching HFL D1. Darren “Botts” Houlahan would be number 2 for mine and hasn’t even made the list. Bloke was a human highlight reel.

Houlahan did his best work in the 90s when he use to stand on guys heads every week. He and Andy Dekievit probably weren't the best players ever seen in the HFL, but they were great to watch.

For 2000s plus, Danny Ebert stiff not to make list.

He didn't mind dishing out king hits 20 metres behind the play either

Something that should have happened before now - Blackwood have new nets behind the goals at both ends, no more getting hit by balls as you drive in the south end and no more running down the hill at the Northern end, time wasting options will be reduced

Just reading the updated HFL Bylaws.

Finals are now rotated across clubs including the GF and if I read it correctly this years GF is being hosted by Blackwood

Yes rotation policy has been implemented like most other leagues. I believe it is actually being hosted by Mount Lofty this year as going in alphabetical order beginning from Mount Barker last year. That’s what I have heard.

Let’s be honest, it should be hosted at the summit and done up properly every year….

Hahndorf v Coorong would have been a decent game.
Heard today Nairne played Victor Harbor again would have been a solid game, Nairne won both senior games apparently.

I think this season will be the most even in a very long time.

Heard rumours that Dixon has brought Steve Motlop over to Lobey with him, at least for a handful of games.

I’m not sure what they are trying to achieve at Lobey, but blowing a huge amount of cash on 2 ex AFL players for parts of 1 season isn’t the answer. Also, salary cap is going well?

Another rumour is a certain club with potentially the largest catchment area in country SA is on track to receive extra player points…
