Care to elaborate ODB!

I know it's not sheepstation football but I'd rather not elaborate at this stage as I'm sure that 4 or 5 quality players won't be let go lightly.

I only know of one set off brothers there. Follet. But they are virtually part of the furniture. Surely LC would have a few spare vines to keep these players!
Or, has Maccy had possibly their best recruiting drive in over 10 years???????
Huh ODB, huh????

The problem with Maccy is that every year the word is out that <accy have recruited really well and will be top 5, but every year they start off alright, lose a couple of close ones and then end up in the bottom 3-4.

Even though Murphy is a great pick-up and should make Maccy better........I'm not holding my breath!!

Did the Golding brothers (Dave & Shaun) play at Langhornes Creek this year?

Another set of brothers from Mt Barker have also apparently shown a bit of interest in following their club mates to the sanctuary of Maccy. However, didn't the HFL bring a bylaw that only three players can be taken from a particular club, apparently after the Lions pillaged Gumeracha pretty well a couple of seasons ago. That's if the Barkeroos have anyone left to take given the club's fast dwindling list!!!

That's correct. Only a max of three players can be cleared from one club to another within the HFL in any year so it will make it interesting if more than that want to leave and go to Maccy.

Not looking too good for Mt Barker at this point in time. But then again......it is only Dec!!!

You're right but let's just say if you think about it for long enough and you use your imagination, there are things that can be worked out.

Appears that I was wrong in relation to one of the sets of brothers but he does have a brother that's interested.. he just plays for someone else, not Langhorne Creek.

it does seem like mtbarker will struggle this year, after a dissappointing year last year. however a few quality recruits could quickly put them straight up to the top few again. surely mtbarker wouldnt be struggling with money and for a big area they should be able to entice people to play there quite easily. being the closest team to murray bridge poaching a few players from league shouldnt be that difficult??

Interesting this year that they had to pull out of A grade cricket. Bit different from Football I know but there seems to be a lot of Mt Barker residents these days that are playing their sport elsewhere. You're right about them having money though 'cos they're certainly not spending it on their oval.

Badders has copped a few injuries lately but still a good player not sure what he is doing sounds like blackwood are buying a new A grade side cause there are so many players leaving next season sounds like the pres has pissed off heaps of people
