it was a fantastic game for the supporters, especially the last quarter (unless you were RMFL!)

very disappointing to have a commanding lead only to go down by 1 pt!

perhaps there were too many imperial players out there

One player who really seems to be a mile in front of anyone else is Luke Button. This bloke is unbelievable, best player i've played with or against. I did hear a rumour that Sturt have asked him back out to play again for them...which would not surprise me one bit! Hopefully it's this week...

I'm sure whichever gsfl club the bloke who broke his arm belongs to would be impressed.

the guy that broke his arm, was that from a marking contest in front of the coaches box? if so it looked like there was nothing in it! did he fall awkwardly or something P32?

Yeah it was, Steven Braun went up with him to spoil the mark and the bloke just didn't land right and tried to put his arm down to land, it was just an awkward landing really, pretty unlucky.

A little bit, but it's hard to know what to take on board as it is a different situation than a standard club game, so you have to take what you get out of it with a grain of salt.
I definitely enjoyed it and would look at playing again if given the opportunity. This was my first association game as last year I was injured when the game was played.

Great to hear mate. I'm sure the RMFL would be pleased to hear that attitude. How were the support Staff, coaches, etc. Did you guys have enough support in these area's.

Yeah I think so. I'm not one to use trainers etc, so I wouldn't be a true indication, but it seemed like there was.

Nothing worse then putting your hand up to play in these things, only to have either too few or incompetant people around you. SO great to hear the league did the right thing in backing you guys up

sounds like the weekend was very successful (despite the loss) which is great.

hopefully next year we can field an even stronger side and knock those GSFL boys off!

did they announce a training squad for the zone team (whatever is happening with that?) after the game does anyone know?
i think that is normally common practice isnt it?

So, this week's games:

Jervois v Ramblers - this should be a huge game, and may decide who finishes on top after the end of the minor round. The Chooks are the in form team at the moment, i think they could get over the line 11 - 20.

Mannum v Tailem Bend - whoever wins this game may well clinch 5th spot and play finals. Mannum had quite a lot out when the Eagles beat them earlier in the year, and will be looking at redeeming themselves this round. Roos at home 51 - 60

Imperials v Mypolonga - the Blues will be wanting to find some form after a few ordinary games by their standards. Mypo won't be easy though, but at home, Imps 21 - 30.
