One of the Blackwood boys told me a full back, CHB and CHF. No names as yet.
Damian Salievic is assistant coach of the woods is he from Edwardstown or elsewhere.
Also heard dan Greenock maybe going back to Blackwood after a year at Unley

Yes Salievic was their captain last year. They had a few different key position players over the last 2 years but could come from the guys they got from South Adelaide like Cobb and Johnson.

The names i've heard so far are Salevic and Carbery, possibly Golding. 3 handy players to start with.

That will cost a lot of caravans.
Thats 3 blokes at a club that normally fills four sides.
30 players leaving - 3 new players = country div. B-Grade forfeiting a lot!

Wolfie, does that mean Blackwood are in danger of fielding only 3 senior sides. Have heard a few guys heading down to Aldinga, a few 'oxford scholars' on offer, even if u are not that good?
Wot of any junior coaching spots at Windy Hill. Reckon it mite be time for a change at Under 17 level. Have lost a couple of GFs now, maybe get Filsell into do the job permanently. Maybe Jack Smedley could have one more year, even Ron Fuller finally broke thru to land a flag?

Word has it Smedley has moved on. Be interesting What Filsell does, being Jack's brother in law. Fiz was runner/up B and F in Blackwood's A-Grade, missing out by 1 vote. I am pretty sure he has no coaching aspirations, but will he remain a Blackwood player.

Could that be McIntyre and Beau, forget his last name.
If so, they have both played for the coin for the last few years!!

smedley has gone elsewhere you are right he has an ordinary record coached 8 years made 4 GF's won 2 of them and rumour has it they asked him not to coach the 05 GF because woods didnt rate him made up some story bout his wife giving birth to their son. Sounds a bit far fetched but that is what the pres told him whatever the case they won and most were glad he was absent

Word around is that Mt Barker may be cooling on the idea of fielding a second A-grade side in Country Division for 2007. Apparently may be a bit of player drain on the cards, and numbers may not be what the hierarchy thought so. Rumor has some players may be following Murph and Harfy to Maccy, while a couple others could throw in with Nairne, and Goody Saints also attracting attention from some as well. The boast of the best depth in the comp a couple of seasons ago may be about to be tested at the Barkeroos.
