I Meant past medalist. My bad. Was only saying that crap about the guernsey to give people an idea who it is.

Look forward to seeing how Maccy go next year. I think he will make a huge difference. Knows what it takes to play in finals, is very competitive and i would think he would be able to bring the best out of players.

Only time will tell.

Reigning club best and fairest as well, will be a huge coup for the Bloods. Also believe B-grade coach in the package. Favorite sons hopping off the sinking SS Barkeroo?

Would be a massive move to Maccy given that they just named the Mt Barker B&F trophy after his family.
Can't see it happening.

Must say I did agree with you when I first heard the news but apparently it's happening.
Would put it down to the fact that he's not getting any younger and to get the head position at a club and still be able to play while heading towards retirement would have been appealing.

2W reckon you'll find Matt Harford is the man in question, reportedly throwing in his lot with Murf. ODB, agree, Murf may want a chance to have a look at a coaching role, before possibly returning to take the reigns at his 'home club'. Be a good pick-up for the Bloods, may well be interesting to see if any other Roo Boys follow him? S. Tidemann (brother-in-law) would be handy! Perhaps even take his mum along, certainly be good to rev up the side before, during and after the game.

Tidemann certainly would be handy but I can assure that the Bloods won't be counting on it.
As far as the Mum goes, LOL!!, I'm sure the faithful will be able to count on her being around the scene next year!

the guy that coached raiders 17's (Bob Muller) that year is tipped to return as b grade coach this year and bring a bunch of those old boys back to the club with him. could make things interesting again

i think shanty lad was trying to say that it will bring more players back to the club if muller coached. it could bring back alot of young blokes to the club and with that will come numbers. they may not be a grade players but another 8-10 players in b grade will make a huge difference to a club short in numbers. but don't think muller will be coaching

nah brentan not president, the whole commitee are joint preseidents. all decisions must go thru commitee before being made. his son has done his knee but don't no what atmosphere you speak about, but will be missed as never missed a training. they are looking at recruiting but don;t have the money of some other clubs!
rumour around town is that lofty have prettty well appointed new coach for b grade. you would think that it would be the best coaching job in hills after the loftty a grade with some of the talent in the super b's!

Wot chance Mt Barker finding it even tougher in 2007. Loss of Murphy will be strongly felt, may have played with injuries but still their major catalyst. Harford a good coach in B-grade, and already facing the retirement of Barrett, and Bellman's future uncertain, it could be a struggle to reprise that dominance of a few years ago. Good luk to Maccy, a great pick-up and as I mentioned, maybe a few other Roo boys could follow suit. Trevor Jenkins has apparently been retained as Birdwood coach. Who knows wot the Roosters have got themselves in for in their climb up a level. Couldnt really see them winning too many
