just curious...

Also played for West Adelaide in the 1983 grand final Centre Half Back.
and i would have said Tangles is more of a Half Back "Flanker"

Sorry! I thought you were joking. Obviously the newly adopted Mandatory Sentencing guidelines have been thrown away. Rory has now been belted big time twice....hope he or any other talented player doesn't expect any protection from this football league. Its the same old saga. It is only a matter of time before the League and individuals will be sued big time.

So 'Golden Boy' gets a week and similar incidents get more. Another case of the inconsistancy at the tribunal and not sticking to the set penalties. If he was found guilty (which he obviously was because he received 1 week) then the commision should have stuck to the set sentencing. Tangles, Coyote or Media Park could you please tell me what the set penalty for high grade charging is?
Wayback people you saw both incidents, So was the 'charge' half as bad as A Kaysers was it?

One week? Don't the tribunal realise he doesn't play for Mallee Park?

Well apparently Carl borrowed a MP guernsey for the hearing and the TFC President abused the umpires in question - it is the tried and trusted tribunal method.

All this bashing of the tribunal, which I do find hilarious, but is anyone prepared to put their hand up to do it in 2011?

The video shown in slow motion showed no high contact and Semmler tried to avoid
contact by changing direction approx 2.5 metres from Rory.
As he went down his head made full force contact with the ground knocking him out.
According to witnesses he was concious before the stretcher got to him but once it was on the ground
he had to use.
After two hours the tribunal decided that it was on the lowest scale of charging and with Semmlers
previous unblemished record reduced the sentence from two to one
