Hahndorf too good in the end after Echunga didn't capitalise on their opportunities early in the match
Both sides played some good footy with the second quarter being the determining factor
Hourigan will be a handful for Uraidla as will the Hahndorf midfield
Wittwer is all class and leads from the front with good voice and direction for his teammates
Roberts is a unit and supplied his midfield well which is going to be hard for Uraidla to stop
Echunga had some good passages of play but couldn't peel back the lead - even with some Aish magic late in the game

Well done to the Hahndorf footy club on coming from wooden spoon to play in a GF
From what I saw yesterday they will be too strong overall for Uraidla with a mix of talented youth and some strong body key position players
Another possible fairy tale story coming up if they can get across the line at Balhannah.

well summarised legs man.
Echunga did miss some early opportunities. but the second quarter from Hahndorf was outstanding.
got a little tight in the last quarter, but Hahndorf had done enough.

promises to be an excellent grand final.

Judging by Uraidlas past form in Grand Finals and games against Hahndorf, you would be a very game person to bet against them. They are obviously super experienced in shutting teams down and playing the game on there terms. Maybe Lobethal could give Hahndorf a few pointers?!

good call wazz.
clearly Lobethal have been able to unlock Uraidla like no other team has.
I suspect that is the key question.
can hahdorf find a way to unlock Uraidla's game.
if they cant they will find it hard to win.
if they can Uraidla will find it difficult to match them.

Dorf by plenty. Uri's just too old on a dry deck with the ball moving around quickly.

Hankin to kick 5.
Witter 4
Paul the medal

oh bull.
I hope you got your name by how you attacked the footy, not by talking it!!!

Hahndorf by plenty would be nice (i'm not so sure it is likely!)

How much footy have uraidla played in the last 5 or 6 weeks? With the poor scheduling of these finals by the hfl anyone else think they would be disadvantaged by going straight through then having to wait 3 weeks for your next game? Could be rusty...while hahndorf might have just played themselves into form and peak. Gonna be interesting but tipping hahndorf by 5 goals for this reason

From reading an earlier post the HFL went to change the final programming but Uraidla were one club of many that voted to leave as is. They'll either be very rested or as you said old bomber very rusty. Having not seen either side my tip is based on form, hence why I say Hahndorf by plenty (5+ goals). If Uraidla do happen to win it will only be just

I Hope James Moore has laminated the copy of his "2 Year Deal" they drew up for him ... seems as though to Onkas it is merely a throw away line. another Ex nth Adelaide puppet.. err coach to lead them back to where they think they belong... Surely Collins can just cut out the middle man and coach instead of bringing in people to chew up and spit out.

Have Blackwood found anyone? I hear they've conducted a couple of interviews. Has Salievic been shown the door or are they keeping him in their back pocket still??

Grand Final Tips:

A Grade: Uraidla v Hahndorf
The game everyone has been waiting for, some officials and spectators will already be very tired when the siren blows to start this game. Watching Hahndorf last week, they have a very good team with big bodies in every position. The likes of the Male brothers, Handby, Wittwer and Paul through the middle should give their dangerous forward line plenty of opportunities.

However I think, grand final specialists Uraidla Districts will get the job done once again. If Hahndorf kick long bombs down the line, like they were doing in patches last week when I watched, Uraidla will eat them up for breakfast, lunch and tea. They just find a way to win the games when everyone rights them off.

Uraidla by 3 goals. BOG: Tudor-Tsourtos is a very good footballer. He will catch the eye of the officials.

B Grade: Hahndorf v Blackwood
This should be a cracker of a game, with perennial B Grade Grand Finalist Blackwood possessing a young, quick team, whilst Hahndorf have a mixture of youth and experience. Hahndorf defeated Blackwood earlier in the year in the slop at Blackwood to claim the Courier Cup.

I can see Hahndorf coming out all guns blazing however the dry, quick over should play into Blackwood’s hand to see them record a 2 goal victory. BOG: Sam Fotheringham from Blackwood.

Senior Colts: Hahndorf v Mt Barker
By all reports these two teams played a super match (what feels like years ago) in the semi-final. Hopefully no umpiring decisions to pay a deliberate out of bounds with 30 seconds to go, have an effect on the game again. Mt Barker looked very strong last week when I saw them play.

Having had rest, I think the Hahndorf lads will come out all guns blazing. However won't convert on the scoreboard leaving Mt Barker to take the win. BOG: Watching last week, the lad with the long blond hair and headband from Mt Barker was very good, No. 13 I think. Don’t know his name.

Junior Colts: Blackwood v Hahndorf
Both teams are well coached which will show why these teams are the best junior colt teams in the HFL. Both teams have dominated all season and whatever team can give their forwards more entries should win the game.

Blackwood to win in a nail-biter. BOG: When I watched earlier in the year, there’s full forward for Blackwood that stands about double the height of all the other kids on the field. I’m predicting him to kick a bag and take on the medal.

Mini Colts: Blackwood v Mt Lofty
Most people will still be asleep when this game is being played. Going for an upset here, as Blackwood haven’t played a game in 3 weeks so they’ll be rusty. BOG: Ethan Cass from Mt Lofty to win the medal.

I didn't even realise I picked every game against Hahndorf haha. Going off my AFL tipping this year, they'll probably finish the day with four flags 8)

On a side note aswell, how did Balhannah get the GF? The venue is shocking for viewing
