They have been doing it for 30 years mate!! Shane Ellen springs to mind, modra's brother etc big cash for 2 players, instead of a decent spread between a few...

Don't forget Eddie Hocking & Mark Harwood also. Well past their best and paid top $$$$$$$ - they deserve to go broke. FFS it's local juniors that will secure your future not mercenaries!!!!!!!

So Mick Ashby has gone to the cougars? Beware hills league players that come to the YP. It's tougher then you think. The medal winner from the hills league (Pearce) struggled, and his mate bingos. Both not in leagues top 50.

Pearce was never in the top 3, Ashby is they only football that made the Gowans twin fearful for their spot in the league side.

No doubt ashby will do well as long as he can rock up in decent shape on a saturday. He has a lot of ability on field just lets himself down a bit off the field i think. Scott teakle is another who went from hills to yorkes, never was a star in the hills but seemed to make a name for himself at ardrossan. Also top couple teams in hills country would beat anyone in ypfl its the bottom few that give the league a bad name

The old my league is better then yours trick hay. The crows would have to have been one of the best country football sides going around in SA. Pretty hard to beat.

The bloods might fall back to the pack with the loss of Clever Trevor, Willy (the show) Serle, the two main goal kickers. It will be the snowball effect, once a couple start going then i think more will follow. Serle after kicking 118 goals has got some generous offers. The bloods will still be around the mark because of great local players but not as dangerous as the last 3 years.

Mick Asby will fit right in the getto's of Maitland with the brothers!

Agree with this, although i have seen him rock up to games "not" in decent shape and still bag 7 or 8 goals from the middle and finish BOG... The guy is a machine, no doubt he will do well out there

Cutting gone, he will be playing at Barossa Districts next season. I spoke with Jordan on SAAFL GF night and he said his body has had enough and he was thinking about not even playing, i reckon once training starts and his mates are out there and talking about footy he will get itchy feet and we will see him in either a Kilburn or Salisbury North guernsey.

Hazeldine has left moonta as well now. Back to Salisbury north. Don't think they have picked up many either.
